It can be said that cyberspace today has become a new social space where people can communicate, create, work, produce, consume, study and entertain themselves, without being limited by space or time. However, cyberspace is creating risks and challenges to national security, human security and social order and safety. Hostile forces take advantage of the internet and social networks to distort the Party's Platform, guidelines, viewpoints and ideological foundation; attract and incite discontented elements, gather forces, and establish opposition organizations that destabilize political security and social order and safety. Not only that, cyberspace can also be exploited to cause damage to property, spirit and even human life. Recently, in Soc Trang province, there have been cases of online fraud, the phenomenon of "like-baiting" and "view-baiting" through creating stories, false clips, making comments, sharing that negatively affect the honor and reputation of organizations and individuals in society. Typically, the case of using social networks to defame and distort local officials and authorities in My Xuyen district has been brought to trial.

To improve the effectiveness of educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for youth, adolescents, and children in cyberspace, on March 5, 2022, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 311/QD-TTg, dated March 5, 2022, approving the Program "Educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for youth, adolescents, and children in cyberspace, period 2022 - 2030". This is an important document contributing to building a young generation with revolutionary ideals, steadfastness, patriotism, knowledge, culture, awareness of law compliance, responsibility to the community, dreams, ambitions, aspirations, and skills for international integration in the digital age.
In order to promote the education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyle for the young generation in the new period according to the Government's decision, the Provincial People's Committee approved Plan No. 49/KH-UBND on implementing the Program "Education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyle for youth, adolescents, and children in cyberspace for the period 2023 - 2030". The goal is to equip the young generation of Soc Trang province with the necessary knowledge and skills to form and develop good personalities, have the courage and will to rise up, and actively contribute to the development of the homeland and the country. The plan focuses on educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyle for young people through the online environment, taking advantage of digital technology platforms for propaganda, education, and creating a healthy and useful playground.
In the spirit of thorough understanding, on April 9, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Soc Trang Provincial Youth Union issued Plan No. 32-KH/TĐTN-XDĐ to implement the Program "Educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, cultural lifestyle for youth, adolescents, and children in cyberspace, period 2022 - 2030" in Soc Trang province in 2025. Accordingly, the Provincial Youth Union has promoted propaganda, raised awareness and skills for cadres, union members, youth, adolescents, and children when participating in activities in cyberspace safely and effectively. At the same time, deployed tasks of monitoring, protecting, preventing, and handling information violating the law in cyberspace that negatively affects youth, adolescents, and children. The Provincial Youth Union focuses on effectively implementing the Campaign "One good news every day, one beautiful story every week" in cyberspace with specific programs and models. The Provincial Youth Union and all levels of the Youth Union regularly review and evaluate the quality of content, technology, and security of social networking sites managed by the unit. Focus on investing in and developing the quality of the site, increasing the number of page likes and followers and the number of people interacting with news and articles on community pages of the Youth Union, Association, and Team at all levels; close and delete pages and online contact groups when no longer in use.
In addition, the Provincial Youth Union also builds modern media products to serve the work of educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for youth, teenagers, and children in cyberspace. Effectively organize activities using cyberspace to attract and gather youth, teenagers, and children, and focus on training, fostering, and connecting a team of cadres, experts, and young intellectuals to carry out the work of educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for youth, teenagers, and children in cyberspace.
The above actions are an important part of the strategy for developing young human resources in Soc Trang province, aiming to build a generation of young people who are both talented and virtuous, ready to take on an important role in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. That affirms that educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for young people, teenagers, and children on cyberspace contributes to protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints.
