Raise the August red flag

Early in the morning, on the tactical training ground of Company 4, Battalion 2, Regiment 841, Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command, the second-year soldiers were bustling with enthusiasm in the training of the topic "Infantry Company attacks airborne enemy". Under the command of Captain Tran Xuan Huynh, Deputy Commander of Company 4, the attacking forces quickly occupied the starting line, consolidated and built fortifications, and were ready to charge in to destroy airborne enemy.

After completing the training session, although very tired and sweaty, Sergeant Nguyen Tuan Anh, Squad Leader of Platoon 1, Company 4, was still very excited because in this training session, the combat positions had correctly followed the commander's orders as well as the technical and tactical requirements of the topic.

Officers and soldiers of Company 4, Battalion 2, Regiment 841, Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command practice the topic "Infantry company fighting airborne enemy".

On the border during peak days, officers and soldiers of the Son Kim 1 Standing Militia Squad, Son Kim 1 Commune, Ha Tinh Province, are also diligently practicing the topic "Standing Squad to fight the enemy infiltrating the border area".

In each training issue, under the command of Squad Leader Nguyen Cong Hoach, the units take turns practicing to achieve fluency and proficiency in both technique and tactics.

Officers and soldiers of Son Kim 1 Standing Militia Squad, Ha Tinh province coordinate with Border Guard forces to patrol the border.

“Along with practicing situations and border protection plans, we also coordinate with the Cau Treo International Border Guard Station to develop plans and patrols to firmly protect key targets on the border during celebrations and important events,” said Squad Leader Nguyen Cong Hoach.

In the spirit of competition with the mainland, these days, officers and soldiers of Son Duong island under the Regional Defense Command (PTKV) 3 - Ky Anh are also practicing island defense plans. Under the scorching sun covering the 12.7mm artillery position, the air defense soldiers of Son Duong island are still enthusiastically practicing island defense situations.

Visiting the agencies and units of the Ha Tinh provincial armed forces during the historic August days, wherever we went, we could feel the exciting competitive atmosphere. From the officers, employees, soldiers of the regular army to the militia and reserve forces, all made efforts and determination, clearly showing in each specific and practical action.

The content of the "3 best" competition includes: Having the highest will, awareness, and responsibility; Best overall quality, fighting strength, regular construction, and best discipline; Promoting democracy, intelligence, solidarity, and best organization of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Provincial Armed Forces' Traditional Day.

The 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun squad of Son Duong island under the PTKV 3-Ky Anh Command practiced plans to protect the airspace and sea.

Agencies and units have done a good job of propagating and educating about the history of revolutionary struggle, the glorious tradition and achievements in 80 years of building, fighting and growing up of the armed forces of the heroic Ha Tinh province. Well organized activities of visiting and giving gifts to families with meritorious services; organized forums, seminars, cultural and artistic exchanges... to celebrate the Traditional Day of the provincial armed forces in a practical and effective manner.

Colonel Nguyen Tat Thang, Political Commissar of the Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command, said: “Responding to the peak emulation period, 100% of agencies and units strictly maintain the combat readiness regime, closely manage airspace, sea, border and inland areas. Closely coordinate with forces, maintain political security, social order and safety, promptly advise and effectively handle situations, avoid being passive or surprised.”
