Delay in issuing driving licenses due to lack of printing materials

On July 10, Mr. Dang Hoang Tuan, Director of Long An Department of Transport, announced the temporary postponement of the time to return driving licenses for tests held from April 7, 2024.

The reason for the delay is because the unit's source of printing materials for driver's licenses, which was planned from the beginning of the year until now, has been used up.

Long An temporarily postpones the time to return driving licenses until September 2024.

However, the Department of Transport is still receiving and processing applications for new and renewed driving licenses as usual. At the same time, the department continues to organize driving license examinations.

According to Mr. Tuan, the Department is completing the procedure for signing a contract with the winning bidder for the package to purchase driving license printing accessories, and is expected to have printing materials after August 2024.

"The Department has sent the notice to the Provincial Public Administration Service Center, driving training centers and facilities to support information dissemination to organizations, individuals and people. The Department also hopes to receive sympathy from learners," Mr. Dang Hoang Tuan shared.

Accordingly, from March 23 to now, Long An Department of Transport has owed about 2,319 driving licenses of types A2, B2, C... of students who have completed the test.
