Round 2 of the 2025 National U19 Women's Tournament: Phong Phu Ha Nam won first place

The highlight of the second round was the match between defending champions Phong Phu Ha Nam and last season's runner-up Ha Noi. In desperate need of a win to regain the top spot, Phong Phu Ha Nam immediately stepped up and attacked. On the contrary, Ha Noi did not hesitate to stick with their opponents and launch counter-attacks.

However, the first half did not see any goals as both sides missed many chances. In the second half, the game became more open and what had to happen happened.

In the 53rd minute, Phong Phu Ha Nam unexpectedly scored the opening goal. Receiving a pass from her teammate, Bui Thi Hong Nhung fired a beautiful long-range shot from outside the penalty area, leaving no chance for Hanoi goalkeeper Ngoc Anh to block.

Just 3 minutes later, Minh Anh had a great pass to Luu Hoang Van. This striker calmly passed the opposing goalkeeper and finished into an empty net, raising the score to 2-0 for Phong Phu Ha Nam.

The next match of the second round was the confrontation between Thai Nguyen T&T and Vinh Phuc . Being underestimated by their opponents, Vinh Phuc decided to retreat deep into their home field to defend and wait for the right moment to counterattack. They created a huge surprise when they scored a goal to break the deadlock.

In the 18th minute, taking advantage of a gap in Thai Nguyen T&T's defense, Luong Ngoc Anh scored a tricky shot to help Vinh Phuc take the lead. Not accepting defeat, Coach Phuong Nam asked his players to attack. With a balanced and experienced force, Thai Nguyen T&T soon got what they needed.

In the 27th minute, Nguyen Ngo Thao Nguyen put his name on the scoreboard and equalized 1-1. In the second half, the great pressure made Vinh Phuc's defense unable to stand firm. Thu Trang was the one who scored the goal to make it 2-1 for Thai Nguyen T&T.
