Hanoi Women's Club won hard-fought victory on the opening day of the National Women's Championship

At the PVF Youth Football Training Center, Hanoi Women's Club met Phong Phu Ha Nam in the first round of the National Women's Championship - Thai Son Bac Cup 2025. In the 8th minute, Pham Hai Yen had a great opening for Nguyen Thi Hoa. This midfielder fired a beautiful long-range shot to open the score of the match.

With the lead, the capital representative easily played the ball as desired. The team had more chances to score but unfortunately, Ngan Thi Van Su and Hai Yen incredibly missed two delicious opportunities.

On the contrary, Phong Phu Ha Nam rarely got the ball up. The rare attacks of this team depended heavily on Tran Thi Duyen. The two teams played a tight game and the score of 1-0 remained until the end of the match.

In the remaining match of round 1, Thai Nguyen T&T faced Vietnam Coal and Minerals (TKSVN). In the 6th minute, Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy accelerated from midfield and executed a technical shot to open the score from a distance of 25 meters. Just 11 minutes later, Bich Thuy assisted Minh Chuyen to easily score, raising the score to 2-0.

At this point, TKSVN seemed to wake up. The mining team rushed forward to attack and shortened the gap to 1-2 after a header by Ha Thi Nhai.

In the second half, great pressure was created to help TKSVN equalize 2-2. Truc Huong scored against Thai Nguyen T&T in the 52nd minute after a pass from Nguyen Thi Van.

The National Women's Football Championship is an annual tournament organized by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) for Vietnamese women's football clubs. 2025 is the 28th season, taking place from September 4 to October 13.

6 clubs will compete in a round robin of 2 rounds to calculate points, choose the team with the highest ranking to win the championship and represent Vietnam to participate in the AFC Champions League for women 2026 - 2027. Last season (2024 - 2025), Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club made history for Vietnamese football when they won a ticket to the semi-finals of the Asian Cup.
