Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, has been granted leave from his position by the Can Tho City Party Committee at his own request and due to family circumstances, effective November 1st.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, born in 1968, is from Chau Thanh A district, Hau Giang province, and holds a PhD in economics. He was elected Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City at the end of 2020.

Previously, in December 2020, in Decision 578/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister decided to discipline Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, with a reprimand for violations and shortcomings in his work, and the Central Inspection Committee had already imposed disciplinary action on him within the Party.
