On the afternoon of December 17th, on the occasion of Christmas 2025, as assigned by the Standing Committee of the Party Central Committee, Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong and his delegation visited and extended greetings at the Can Tho Bishopric.

Accompanying him were Central Committee member and Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee Le Quang Tung and leaders of Can Tho city.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly , Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, expressed his pleasure in visiting the priests and religious figures ahead of Christmas with the delegation. On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly wished Bishop Peter Le Tan Loi of the Can Tho Diocese, the religious figures, and all Catholic people a peaceful Christmas season, family happiness, and a joyful New Year with good health.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly stated that the Party and the State always highly appreciate the contributions of Catholic compatriots in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland and building national unity.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly expressed his wish that Archbishop Peter Le Tan Loi and the Catholic community would continue to closely cooperate with the Fatherland Front Committee and local authorities to build national unity, live virtuous lives, and contribute to the prosperity and development of their homeland.

The Vice Chairman highly appreciated and thanked the Catholic community in the Can Tho Diocese for their kind gestures towards the people in Central Vietnam affected by the recent storms and floods, which profoundly demonstrated the beautiful spirit of solidarity, mutual support, and compassion of our nation.
