Quang Ngai will launch a series of key projects to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The simultaneous commencement and inauguration of large-scale projects and works in Quang Ngai province marks an important milestone in implementing a strategic breakthrough in infrastructure development, demonstrating the local government's political determination, creating a foundation for the next phase of development, and looking forward to celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province announced that, in celebration of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the province will hold groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for four key projects: the Hoa Phat Dung Quat railway rail and special steel production project; the Quang Ngai city rainwater and wastewater collection and treatment system project in the southern downstream basin of the Tra Khuc River; the upgrading and expansion project of the Dung Quat Economic Zone's transportation infrastructure; and the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway project.

These projects are of significant political and economic importance, not only summarizing the results of the 5-year implementation of the Party's 13th National Congress Resolution on the development of a synchronous and modern infrastructure, but also affirming the socio-economic development achievements of Quang Ngai province, creating a competitive spirit and new impetus for the next development phase.

The impact of key projects creates a foundation for long-term development.

Among the projects launched, the Hoa Phat Dung Quat railway rail and special steel production project is a key highlight, chosen as the main broadcasting point for Quang Ngai province, connecting live with the central government.

Quang Ngai will simultaneously launch and inaugurate large-scale projects and works, aiming to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The project, with a total investment of VND 10,000 billion, is invested by Hoa Phat Dung Quat Special Steel and Ray Joint Stock Company and implemented in the Eastern Dung Quat Industrial Park, within the Dung Quat Economic Zone.

The project covers an area of ​​14.79 hectares, with a designed capacity of 700,000 tons per year, producing rail steel, structural steel, and special steel products, with an operating period of 50 years. To date, the project has completed all investment preparation procedures as required and is eligible for commencement of construction.

In addition, the Quang Ngai City Rainwater and Wastewater Collection and Treatment System Project in the southern downstream basin of the Tra Khuc River, with a total investment of 1,000 billion VND from the provincial budget, is being implemented over an area of ​​approximately 725 hectares, encompassing several central wards of Quang Ngai City.

The project aims to gradually improve the urban drainage and wastewater treatment system, contributing to urban beautification, improving the living environment, and developing the city in accordance with the approved planning orientation.

The centerpiece of the project is the Nam Tra Khuc Wastewater Treatment Plant, with a capacity of 12,000 m³/day, located in Nghia Dung commune. It applies a combination of biological, mechanical, and physicochemical treatment technologies, operating with an automated control system to ensure the quality of treated wastewater.

Improving infrastructure creates momentum for development.

In addition to industrial and environmental projects, Quang Ngai province also commenced the project to upgrade and expand the transportation infrastructure system in the Dung Quat Economic Zone, with a total investment of 350 billion VND.

The Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon expressway has been completed.

The project focuses on upgrading and expanding many key transportation routes, gradually improving technical infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity between the Dung Quat Economic Zone and surrounding areas, and meeting the needs of transporting goods and materials, as well as the production and business activities of enterprises.

Also on this occasion, the inauguration ceremony of the Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon Expressway Project was held north of tunnel number 3. The project has a length of 88km, a total investment of VND 20,469.69 billion, and is managed by Project Management Board 2.

The project commenced on January 1, 2023, and is expected to be completed by September 2025, with tunnel number 3, which is 3.2km long, expected to be completed in December 2025.

The simultaneous commencement and inauguration of key projects and works not only demonstrates Quang Ngai province's determination to invest in infrastructure, industrial, and urban development, but also contributes to creating momentum for growth, enhancing the local competitiveness, and preparing an important foundation for a new development phase, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
