On his personal page, Nguyen Xuan Son posted pictures of him training in Brazil, surprising many people. Since coming to Vietnam to compete, especially during the time he was being treated for a broken leg, the 28-year-old striker has almost never returned home.
From the videos and photos of Xuan Son's most recent training session, it can be seen that he is entering a period of physical enhancement, ready for his return after more than half a year of injury.
It is known that Xuan Son returned to Brazil to have the best recovery conditions, with the support of leading fitness experts from the land of Samba. It is expected that the striker born in 1997 will return to Vietnam before the 2025/26 season starts next August.

According to doctors, Xuan Son is recovering quickly. However, the medical team has advised him not to rush things. If things progress, the Nam Dinh Steel Blue player could return to the field from next October, meaning he will still be in time to play in the remaining matches of the Vietnamese team in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.
Previously, after witnessing the Vietnamese team being defeated 4-0 by Malaysia, Xuan Son said that nothing can be predicted in football, and should wait to see the "Golden Star Warriors" take revenge on their opponents in the second leg at home, taking place in March 2026.
With the Nam Dinh Steel Club, coach Vu Hong Viet is also eagerly awaiting the return of the Brazilian striker. Before his leg injury, Xuan Son scored 31 goals in the 2023/24 season, helping the team from Thanh Nam win the V-League championship, and he personally won the Golden Boot and Best Player of the tournament.
"The return of Xuan Son is very important for Nam Dinh Green Steel. Next season, we will participate in 5 domestic and international competitions at the same time, so we need a large and quality force. With Xuan Son, Nam Dinh Green Steel can be more confident in the attack", said coach Vu Hong Viet.
