Scheduled to enter service in the second half of 2026, the aircraft will support the growing demand for flight training in the region, demonstrating Airbus’ commitment to its customers.
Available for the first time outside Europe, the new H175 helicopter simulator, together with the existing H225 and AS365 helicopter simulators, will provide an optimized learning experience with digital classrooms and virtual reality flight training devices. These expanded capabilities will support conversion training, recurrent training and mission-based flight training to ensure operational capability in emergency situations.
“This investment underscores Airbus’ commitment to aviation safety and customer engagement,” said Romain Trapp, Executive Vice President, Customer Support and Services, Airbus Helicopters. “By enhancing our training capabilities in Malaysia, we are confident that pilots and technicians in the Asia-Pacific region will have access to world- class equipment designed to enhance safety and availability.”
To date, Airbus Helicopters’ flight simulation centre in Malaysia has provided over 21,000 hours of training to around 2,600 pilots. With the new H175 helicopter cockpit simulator, the company is ready to enhance its training capabilities and further contribute to aviation safety in the region.
The upgraded training center will feature state-of-the-art flight simulation technology such as Level D training capabilities, state-of-the-art Helionix avionics and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) data packages that accurately reproduce helicopter performance, all aimed at improving pilot proficiency and flight safety.
