Man City representatives have officially resumed their pursuit of Lucas Paqueta after the Brazilian midfielder was acquitted in a betting and match-fixing scandal.
According to Globo Esporte, Paqueta now wants to leave West Ham and join Pep Guardiola's team this summer .

This is not the first time Man City have expressed interest in Paqueta.
The Etihad Stadium team tried to recruit the former AC Milan midfielder in previous transfer windows, but failed for various reasons.
Paqueta 's investigation into allegations of illegal betting also prevented the deal (he was previously at risk of a lifetime ban).
With all legal hurdles cleared, Man City are ready to return to the negotiating table.
Globo Esporte estimates the transfer fee at around £50m, but West Ham are certain to demand a lot more.
With his versatility and creativity – he can play as a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder or on the left wing – Paqueta is seen as the ideal piece to join Guardiola's midfield.
The Spaniard wants to build a midfield with Paqueta and Tijjani Reijnders – also a new signing – alongside Rodri, to avoid the hole left by Kevin De Bruyne's departure.
