The opening ceremony of the Sam Son Tourism Festival 2026 was a resounding success.
On the evening of April 25th, at the Beach Square stage (Sam Son ward), the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, in coordination with SunGroup, organized the opening ceremony of the Sam Son Tourism Festival 2026 with the theme "Sam Son - A Brilliant Aspiration". The event is considered the starting point for a vibrant beach tourism season in Thanh Hoa province, attracting a large number of delegates, local people, and tourists from all over.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Dau Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, emphasized the special role of Sam Son in Vietnam's tourism map. "Since the early 20th century, Sam Son has been a famous resort destination, a typical seaside tourism brand of Thanh Hoa and the whole country. Over more than a century, this place has not only been a space where nature and culture harmonize, but also a beautiful memory for many generations of tourists," Mr. Tung stressed.

Continuing that tradition, Sam Son is undergoing a strong transformation. Urban infrastructure is becoming increasingly integrated, and tourism products are constantly being upgraded and diversified, from accommodation and cuisine to entertainment. The appearance of this coastal city is becoming more modern and dynamic, meeting the increasingly high demands of domestic and international tourists.

According to Mr. Tung, the Sam Son Tourism Festival is not only a local event but also holds significant importance for the entire Thanh Hoa province. It's an opportunity to promote the image of a land rich in tradition, friendly, and with great potential for tourism development. "From today's festival, a vibrant space of sea, culture, music, and light unfolds, contributing to spreading the image of Thanh Hoa as a dynamic and hospitable region to friends both domestically and internationally," Mr. Tung emphasized.

The theme "Sam Son - A Brilliant Aspiration" clearly reflects the local government's determination to build a modern and civilized beach tourism brand. In addition, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province also called for the joint efforts of all levels, sectors, businesses, and people in building a professional tourism environment. "Every resident of Sam Son, every resident of Thanh Hoa, should be a tourism ambassador, contributing to creating a beautiful and friendly image in the eyes of tourists," Mr. Tung shared.

Through modern music and performance art, the program vividly recreated the development journey of Sam Son from its historical depth to its contemporary appearance. Familiar songs such as "Echoes of Sam Son," "Sam Son, the Sea of Thanh Hoa," and "Vietnam, the Journeys" were revamped with a youthful style, evoking many emotions in the audience.
