Speaking at the program, Chairwoman of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs' Trade Union Hoang Thi Thu Hien assessed that volunteer activities in many localities are the strength of the Dan Tri newspaper trade union.

The program "Spring of Love" organized by the Trade Union - Youth Union of Dan Tri Newspaper in coordination with the Young Volunteer Doctors Club today brought warmth, joy and Tet atmosphere to the children, mothers and aunts of SOS Children's Village. Ms. Hien hopes that the newspaper will have more volunteer activities organized in Hanoi .

The Chairman of the Ministry's Trade Union thanked the doctors for coming to take care of and encourage the mothers and children. Along with that, Ms. Hien also appreciated the volunteer activities initiated by Dan Tri newspaper and wished for more regular volunteer activities in the village.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Ministry's Trade Union, the Chairman of the Ministry's Trade Union wishes all children and mothers a peaceful and happy new year.

Chairman of the Dan Tri Newspaper Trade Union Le Bao Trung affirmed that Dan Tri Newspaper has a humane, humane and benevolent orientation and tradition. This tradition has always been promoted by the Newspaper's Trade Union and Youth Union. The Newspaper's Trade Union determined that volunteer activities will go hand in hand with professional work.

Also according to the Chairman of the Trade Union Le Bao Trung, the same morning in Ho Chi Minh City, the "Spring of Love" program in the Southern region also took place successfully. Through the program, Dan Tri newspaper hopes that more stories about the love of SOS Children's Villages will be spread.

Representative of the Young Volunteer Doctors Club, Dr. Doan Du Manh informed that at today's program, in addition to examining mothers and children, the club also has 14 gifts of family medicine packages in SOS Children's Village.

"Not only stopping today's activities, we hope to keep in touch with SOS Children's Villages through quick response teams. When mothers and children have health-related problems, they can be guided by doctors to handle them or directly examined," said Dr. Manh.

Expressing gratitude to the units that created conditions for doctors to have meaningful activities, Dr. Manh said that the Young Volunteer Doctors Club gathered many doctors from Xanh Pon Hospital, Bach Mai Hospital, Viet Duc Hospital, etc. to participate.

Speaking at the program, Director of SOS Children's Village Nguyen Van Sinh commented that the volunteer activities have brought warm feelings to mothers, aunts and children living here. The activities help warm and support children in special circumstances.

Mr. Sinh expressed his gratitude for the kindness and actions demonstrating social responsibility of the delegates and young doctors in the "Spring of Love" program.

Now in its 35th year of operation, SOS Children's Villages carries out its mission of caring for children based on a surrogate family foundation, caring for children like a natural family.

The village has 16 houses, each family has a single mother, without her own family or children, who wishes to be a mother to children in especially difficult circumstances, taking care of them 24/7.

"Currently, due to changes and adjustments to policies and programs of SOS Children's Villages International, the village project is adjusting towards reducing the number of children in each family to better care for children," said Mr. Sinh.

According to the plan, by 2023, SOS Children's Villages Vietnam must be financially autonomous. Currently, SOS Children's Villages Hanoi operates with funding partly from aid, partly from counterpart funds of the Hanoi People's Committee and partly from contributions from sponsoring organizations and individuals.

For over 30 years, the village has cared for and nurtured nearly 500 children to integrate into the community, of which 250 have their own families. Over the years, 19 mothers and aunts have now retired.

At the program, the Labor Union - Youth Union of Dan Tri Newspaper and FPT Digital Retail Joint Stock Company presented the Village with a 43-inch TV and 14 Tet miniatures for common use. In addition, the Young Volunteer Doctors Club also donated 14 family medicine cabinets to the facility.

Within the framework of the program, mothers, aunts, children in the village and children of Dan Tri newspaper staff decorated miniature landscapes, enjoyed meaningful circus performances and activities to welcome the New Year.
