Recently, VTV reporters continued to expose the sophisticated tricks used by these subjects. These tricks are very sophisticated, because if parents are just a little careless, they can completely "fall into the trap".
Not only impersonating editors and MCs of Vietnam Television, the scammers also impersonated VTV News, an online newspaper of Vietnam Television.
The subjects claimed to be "I am Nguyen Huu Tri, in charge of the event organizing committee, responsible for guiding you to participate in the challenge so that your child can be selected for the Media Ambassador program".
Blatantly using the Zalo avatar named BTV Huu Tri to solicit, advertise, buy products, and call on parents to transfer money to their children. But the real BTV Huu Tri did not know anything about this Zalo account until he received many consecutive questions from friends and relatives.
Editor Nguyen Huu Tri - Center for Digital Content Production and Development, Vietnam Television confirmed: "I was very surprised to see my image in the avatar of another zalo account, which is definitely not my account. I also confirmed to everyone that this is not my official account. I also did not organize or participate in any child model recruitment program and am not in any group on social networks that calls for people to transfer money to me. After that, I posted a warning article on my personal page".
Not only impersonating editors and MCs of Vietnam Television, the scammers also impersonated VTV News, an online newspaper of Vietnam Television.
Mr. Pham Quoc Thang - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of VTV News Electronic Newspaper, Vietnam Television Station said: "I confirm that these are not images that we posted, they show signs of editing and impersonation of VTV News. They show signs of fraud and will leave many consequences. First of all, the consequences for viewers and readers of VTV News, they may lose money. In fact, many people have reported to the newspaper that they have lost money and been scammed by such content" .
