Mark Zuckerberg feeds cows with beer
Zuckerberg, who owns a large ranch in Hawaii, added cattle farming to his list of hobbies last year. He talked about his unique way of raising cows on his Morning Brew Daily podcast last week.
He believes that drinking beer and eating macadamia nuts - the two "most nutrient dense" foods - helps cows gain weight quickly while still retaining the best flavor and quality of meat. This method is not available to mainstream farms due to cost constraints. "I am not commercializing and just want to produce high-quality meat," he said.
Meta CEO currently focuses on raising famous wagyu and angus cattle. "If you had to choose, what would you like to eat the most? Basically beer and nuts. Everyone knows beer is an appetite stimulant and nuts are nutritious," he said.
In a January Instagram post, Meta also estimated that each cow consumes between 2 and 4.5 tons of feed per year. His daughters help grow the macadamia trees, which he considers one of the most exciting projects he has ever pursued.

Farming is one of Zuckerberg's new hobbies, along with MMA training and surfing. On the Morning Brew Daily podcast, the Meta CEO said his daughter even thinks he's a rancher.
“If you’re like a kid, like my daughter, in your head you don’t just associate me with Meta,” Zuckerberg said. “There was a time when my daughter just thought of me as a cattle rancher.” His daughter supports her father’s farming lifestyle, and Zuckerberg aims to produce some of the highest quality meat in the world.
In addition to the farm, Meta CEO also owns a complex worth more than $270 million in Kauai, the oldest island in Hawaii. According to Business Insider , construction experts consider this cost to be "the largest in history" for a private project and can be compared to many large military projects.
Mark Zuckerberg's 1,200-acre estate is heavily guarded with security guards and six-foot-high stone fences. He keeps the property a secret by forcing construction workers to sign nondisclosure agreements. The property has at least 30 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms, along with an underground shelter and two central residences connected by tunnels, surrounded by a network of 11 tree houses. Amenities include a gym, swimming pool, and tennis court. In addition to being a vacation spot, the complex also serves as a corporate event venue.
During the process of acquiring the huge land, CEO Meta faced many objections from local residents due to construction noise and concerns about the destruction of nature. The petition "Stop Zuckerberg from Invading Kauai" received more than a million signatures in 2020. However, he affirmed that the real estate purchase process was fair, and at the same time, there are plans to preserve the ecosystem of wild flora and fauna on the island.
Zuckerberg and his wife are also among the largest individual donors to Hawaii. In 2021, he donated $4 million to a fund supporting indigenous cultural activities. The Chan Zuckerberg Foundation has also given more than $20 million to local nonprofits since 2018.
The reason behind Mark Zuckerberg's habit of wearing gray T-shirts makes many people ponder
In a 2014 interview, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg shared the reason he has this habit.
There's a special reason behind Mark Zuckerberg's habit of wearing gray t-shirts.
Although the person who asked this question expected Mark Zuckerberg to respond humorously, he responded very seriously. He said that choosing simple clothes, even having no other options in his wardrobe, allows him to focus more on work.
Mark Zuckerberg replied: “I want my life to be simple, with as few decisions as possible, except to serve the community.”
Zuckerberg says his wardrobe consists of about 20 identical gray T-shirts.
“I am truly blessed to be in the position I am in. Every day I wake up and serve over a billion people,” he added.
He revealed that even the smallest decisions like what to eat or what to wear in the morning can take up unnecessary energy.
“I feel like I'm not doing my job well if I'm spending my energy on things that are silly or frivolous in my life,” Zuckerberg added.
Nearly a decade has passed since this Q&A, and it seems Mark Zuckerberg is still very loyal to his simple yet distinctive wardrobe.
On rare occasions, he has been seen wearing a navy blue crew-neck long-sleeved shirt, a beige boxy shirt, a khaki sweatshirt, and even a sweater. During important government meetings, he wears a suit instead of his usual gray T-shirt.
However, when it comes to Mark Zuckerberg's outfit, people will immediately think of the "combo" of jeans and a gray T-shirt. This is the unique characteristic of the Facebook founder.
