While driving, the tractor trailer suddenly lost control and climbed onto the median of the overpass in TDP 1, Xuan An town, Nghi Xuan ( Ha Tinh ), causing severe damage to the vehicle.
According to local residents, before the accident (around 11:45 p.m. on April 6), a tractor-trailer with license plate 73H-001.17 towing a trailer with license plate 37R-008.65 (driver's identity unknown) was traveling on the National Highway 1 bypass from South to North.
When reaching the overpass in TDP 1, Xuan An town, Nghi Xuan district, the vehicle suddenly lost control and climbed onto the railing.
The accident caused severe damage to the front of the tractor.
Hundreds of cement slabs from trucks fell onto the road, causing traffic difficulties from the overpass to Ben Thuy 2 bridge.
On the night of the accident, the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police and Nghi Xuan District Police were present at the scene to direct traffic and ensure traffic flow on the road, while investigating the cause of the accident.
This morning (April 7), the authorities continued to divert traffic to the overpass; the garage mobilized forces to load and transport the spilled goods, clearing the road for vehicles to pass smoothly. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the accident.
