Nghia Hung Fatherland Front takes care of people's lives

With the motto of focusing on the grassroots, taking residential areas as the center of activities, in recent times, the Fatherland Front of Nghia Hung district has always paid attention to taking care of people's lives, contributing to reducing the rate of poor households and ensuring social security.

The Fatherland Front at all levels in the district has always proactively coordinated with the government and member organizations to actively advise on the implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021-2025 period, the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind" launched by the Prime Minister in conjunction with the Campaign "The whole people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; mobilizing households to register to compete in solidarity to help each other reduce poverty, proactively overcome difficulties and develop the economy to escape poverty sustainably. The Fatherland Front proposed to the government at all levels to create conditions for poor households to access and enjoy the State's poverty reduction support policies; replicate effective production and economic development models. Localities have established steering committees; assigned and assigned specific responsibilities to each organization and individual in charge of the contents of the campaign "The whole people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". The Fatherland Front closely cooperates with member organizations to promote propaganda work, has many forms of caring for poor union members; organizes credit activities for poor members to borrow preferential loans to develop production. Union members, union members and people of all walks of life have promoted the spirit of "mutual love" to help each other with capital, seeds, production experience; transfer and acquire scientific and technical advances; organize intergenerational clubs to help each other reduce poverty, and models of economic development linkage.

In addition, the Fatherland Front at all levels focuses on mobilizing resources to support the poor, people in especially difficult circumstances, and policy families. The district's Fatherland Front staff has proactively approached and mobilized organizations and individuals with good hearts to contribute to humanitarian charity and social security activities in the locality. Every year, the district Fatherland Front organizes the launch of the "For the Poor" Peak Month; strengthens the "For the Poor" Fund Support Mobilization Committee. The district Fatherland Front organizes a review of poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances in the area to include in the plan to mobilize support and assistance; flexibly and creatively applies forms of mobilization, calling on businesses, religious organizations, and philanthropists to support the construction of Great Unity houses, and support social security programs. Thanks to that, from 2019 to 2024, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels in the district has mobilized 3,812 billion VND. With support resources from the superior fund and the fund of the district, commune, family, clan, residential area... has supported the construction of 42 new Great Unity houses, with a total amount of over 5,783 billion VND; supported the repair of 78 houses with a total amount of over 785 million VND; donated 12,553 gifts on holidays and Tet and provided emergency support, with a total value of over 8,710 billion VND... Enterprises outside the district have supported the "For the Poor" fund with over 4.5 billion VND. Promoting the tradition of "Mutual love and mutual assistance" of the nation, the Fatherland Front at all levels also presided over and coordinated with member organizations to mobilize people to well implement social security policies, actively participating in supporting funds such as: "Gratitude Fund" with over 250 million VND, Children's Fund with over 300 million VND... Every year, on the occasion of the traditional New Year, commemorating War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27); On International Children's Day (June 1), the Fatherland Front and its member organizations have carried out many practical activities to care for and help war invalids, families of martyrs, former youth volunteers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution; organized programs to honor heroic martyrs, gave gifts to poor children, children in especially difficult circumstances..., with a total value of billions of VND.

In particular, accompanying the Front, socio -political organizations have had many good models and creative ways to call for and mobilize resources to care for and help union members in difficult circumstances, people with disabilities, orphans and vulnerable people in society. Typically, the Women's Union at all levels with the model "Collecting garbage, turning garbage into money" raises funds to support children and women in difficult circumstances; building a fund to support women in difficult circumstances, Hoang Ngan scholarship fund, launching a piggy bank movement; promoting the movements "Women help each other develop the economy", "Help poor women have an address"; supporting livelihoods for poor women and women with disabilities; sponsoring, raising and caring for orphans... In the past 5 years, the Women's Union at all levels has supported the construction of 15 new houses and repaired 3 "Shelters of Love" houses for women in especially difficult circumstances with a total value of 1,374 billion VND. Implementing the "Godmother" program, by the end of 2024, the Women's Union at all levels in the district is sponsoring 63 children (including 62 orphans and 1 child in difficult circumstances), with a level of 200-500 thousand VND/month/child. In 2024, the Women's Union at all levels also actively supported and assisted people in areas affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi) inside and outside the district with a total value of nearly 1 billion VND (including cash and in kind)...

Farmers' Associations at all levels regularly propagate and mobilize members to promote the spirit of solidarity, mutual assistance and support in production and life; help thousands of households rise from poverty; actively respond to the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses", support the construction of new houses, upgrade houses for poor farmer members, households in especially difficult circumstances. Mobilize support for the "Golden Rice Grain" Fund, the "Farmer's Shelter" Fund to help farmers facing risks and difficult circumstances; mobilize members to donate money, support working days, materials, plants, and seeds worth hundreds of millions of VND to help members rise out of poverty... Every year, on the occasion of Lunar New Year, Farmers' Associations at all levels in the district organize visits and give hundreds of gifts to families of farmer members in difficult circumstances. Trade Unions at all levels regularly visit, encourage and give gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of Lunar New Year and Workers' Month. In 2024 alone, Trade Unions at all levels in the district gave gifts to 13,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with a total amount of over 4 billion 800 million VND. Through these specific and practical activities, the tradition of solidarity, mutual love and social responsibility of each citizen has been aroused and promoted, contributing to the successful implementation of the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind"; encouraging poor households to strive to overcome difficulties in life, actively work and produce. Thanks to that, the material and spiritual life of people in the district has been increasingly improved.

In the coming time, the Fatherland Front of Nghia Hung district will continue to focus its activities on residential areas, promote the strength of national solidarity, mobilize resources to care for the poor, people in especially difficult circumstances, and policy families; coordinate with member organizations to support the construction and replication of new and effective models in production development, income increase, and sustainable poverty reduction.
