Ho Chi Minh City Front will have members who are leaders of the Front at commune and ward levels.

Regarding the congress, Ms. Hoang Mai Quynh Hoa - Head of the Propaganda and External Relations Department, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city said that so far, the preparations for the congress have been basically completed. The congress is expected to take place from October 2 and 3, 2024, at the City Hall (No. 111 Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City).

Mr. Ngo Thanh Son answered the press about the upcoming City Front Congress.

According to Ms. Hoa, this is an important political event, taking place in the context that the city is continuing to implement the Resolution of the 11th City Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, comprehensively promoting the innovation process, increasingly deepening international integration, building a city with good quality of life, civilized - modern - affectionate.

Regarding the different tasks of the next term compared to the previous term, Ms. Hoa said that the city will strengthen the implementation of the plan to build a residential area of "Solidarity - Affection - Self-management" on the basis of residential areas that have been recognized as meeting the standards of "safety in security and order" and residential areas that meet the criteria of "Clean, green and environmentally friendly".

“This is also in response to the movement to build a “Self-governed, united, prosperous, and happy” residential area, which is considered a new Action Program - the 6th Program in the draft documents of the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029”, Ms. Hoa emphasized.

Providing more information about the congress, the leader of the City Front said that at the 12th Congress, term 2024 - 2029, the Chairman of the Commune and Ward Front will be consulted to join the Front as a member of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. The purpose of this is for the Front to listen more to the voices of the people from the grassroots through the Front officials at this level.

“Recently, the City Party Committee assigned a Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee to concurrently hold the position of Chairman of the City Front and it is expected that this policy will remain unchanged. This is a new point, a special point compared to other localities across the country,” said the leader of the City Front.
