“We are excited to partner with Reincubate to leverage their AI video technology, enabling users of HP’s next-generation AI PCs to collaborate seamlessly,” said Guayente Sanmartin, senior vice president of HP. “All AI video and audio processing happens entirely locally on the NPU, increasing efficiency and security.”
NPUs (neural processing units) are unlocking a new level of performance for laptops, delivering faster speeds, stronger security, and seamless connectivity. By handling AI tasks independently, NPUs not only reduce the strain on the CPU and GPU, but also extend battery life.
The Role of Reincubate in HP Computers
Reincubate’s AI technology is optimized to work with NPU-equipped SoCs from HP’s chip partners, maximizing the potential of AI-driven computing. On-device AI processing protects privacy by eliminating the need to send sensitive information to a remote server. It also delivers instant processing without the latency of data being returned between the device and the cloud.
US lawmakers furious over Huawei computers with new Intel AI chips
Many major companies like Apple, Samsung, and Google have already started to apply AI directly to their devices. ARM-based computers are becoming the top choice for on-device AI. HP's lineup now includes several Snapdragon-powered laptops, such as the HP EliteBook Ultra, HP Elite Folio, and HP OmniBook 5.
