On February 17, Dong Hoa Town Police ( Phu Yen ) said they had just coordinated with relevant forces to find Vo Nguyen Thai Bao (10 years old, residing in Dong Hoa Town) after receiving a report from his family that he was lost.

According to the police, at around 5:00 p.m. on February 16 (the 7th day of the Lunar New Year), the Dong Hoa town police received a report from Ms. Ho Thi Tuyet (55 years old, residing in Hoa Hiep Bac ward) about her grandchild being lost and her whereabouts unknown.

Upon receiving the information, the unit mobilized forces to assist in searching for the boy. Nearly 2 hours later, the police discovered Bao cycling on Highway 29, in the Da Ngu neighborhood of Hoa Hiep Nam ward, about 10km from his home.

The boy said he cycled to Binh Duong to visit his mother. His mother has been working for a long time but did not return home for Tet so Bao missed her.

After receiving the information, the People's Committee of Dong Hoa town said it would work directly with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and related units to develop a support plan and create favorable conditions for Bao in life and study.
