Responding to Thanh Nien reporters, coach Hoang Thi Thai Xuan of the Vietnamese sepak takraw team could not hide her joy and pride when seeing her students demonstrate their competitive spirit in the international arena. Ms. Thai Xuan shared: "Today, the athletes competed confidently, with good spirit and following the tactics outlined by the coaching staff. This final match took place on the last day, so we were very well prepared mentally and spiritually. Competing on Thai soil, we had to endure great pressure from the home team's audience, but the athletes maintained their spirit, discipline and courage."

Coach Thai Xuan also did not forget to emphasize that the Vietnamese women's sepak takraw team is not only responsible for achieving high results at the world championship but also aims for upcoming long-term goals, especially the SEA Games and ASIAD.
"The coaching staff themselves are also under a lot of pressure. We have won gold medals at the ASIAD, the world and the SEA Games, so we have to try to outline the best training plan to prepare for this tournament as well as the upcoming SEA Games and ASIAD," she said.

Coach Thai Xuan affirmed that the Vietnamese women's sepak takraw team is aiming for bigger goals in the future and will continue to prepare carefully to maintain its impressive form and achievements. "We have longer-term plans that require careful preparation," she shared, showing the determination and desire to win of both the coaching staff and the athletes.

Winning the third world sepak takraw championship is an important milestone and will certainly be a great source of motivation for athletes to continue conquering new heights in international tournaments.
The men's team lost to Japan and won silver in the 4-man event.
In addition to the gold medal this afternoon, the Vietnamese Sepak Takraw team also won two more silver medals in the 3-person women's team and 4-person men's team events, concluding a successful world championship. In the near future, the Vietnamese Sepak Takraw team will conquer the SEA Games arena, also taking place in Thailand, this December.
