Vietnam General Confederation of Labor supports 500 million VND for Lam Dong union members affected by storms and floods

On the afternoon of November 5, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized a gift-giving ceremony to support union members in Lam Dong province who suffered losses due to the impact of storms and floods.

Comrade Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, presented a symbolic 500 million VND to the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation to promptly help union members facing difficulties after floods.

The delegation was led by Mr. Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Also attending were Mr. Ho Cong Duong, Permanent Vice President of the Lam Dong Provincial Confederation of Labor, local government leaders and union officials from Ham Thang Ward and Binh Thuan Ward.

Comrade Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, sympathized with the damage caused by storms and floods in Lam Dong province.

At the gift-giving points of Phu Long Garment Enterprise (Ham Thang Ward) and Hai Trieu Company Limited (Binh Thuan Ward), comrade Phan Van Anh kindly visited and shared with workers after the heavy losses in the recent floods.

Comrade Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, visited and presented gifts to workers of Phu Long Garment Factory.

Comrade Phan Van Anh affirmed: With the motto: "Where there are union members and workers in difficulty, there is a union", in recent times, trade unions at all levels across the country have always paid attention to and promoted activities to care for union members, especially when natural disasters and storms and floods have occurred erratically, seriously affecting the lives, jobs and incomes of workers. With that spirit, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has launched grassroots trade unions to allocate support resources to promptly encourage union members who have suffered damage to property and health.

Comrade Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visited and presented gifts to workers of Hai Trieu Company Limited.

Vice President Phan Van Anh also said that: workers are “the most valuable asset of the enterprise”. Therefore, in addition to immediate support, grassroots unions and enterprises in Lam Dong need to continue to implement practical activities to improve the material and spiritual life of workers, such as organizing “Tet Sum Vay”, “Union Welfare”, or cultural and sports programs.

Union members and employees of Hai Trieu Company Limited received gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented 70 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances who suffered heavy losses due to storms and floods, each worth 1 million VND.

Comrade Ho Cong Duong, Permanent Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, presented gifts to workers affected by storms and floods in Ham Thang ward.

Receiving the support, comrade Ho Cong Duong, Permanent Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation expressed his thanks for the attention of the General Confederation, and said that the Provincial Labor Union will continue to review and support the right subjects so that union members and workers can soon overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and accompany businesses in production.
