MG Motor Australia is busy expanding its product portfolio with the MG4 electric hatchback, the all-new MG Motor IM premium model, the MG HS Hybrid+, and the impressive MGU9 pickup truck. The company is also targeting the entry-level segment with the launch of the 2026 MG ZS Vibe, a new version of the small crossover SUV launched in 2017 and entering its second generation last year. In many markets, including Europe but not Australia, the second-generation ZS is only available with a powerful 193hp hybrid powertrain, but the Australian market will get a new 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine for the 2026 MG ZS Vibe.
The new-generation ZS Vibe offers “dream performance” at a lower price of AU$25,888 (just about 442 million VND). MG Australia also advertises “significantly increased performance with a 54% increase in power” compared to the upcoming 2025 model. The 2026 MG ZS Vibe now comes standard with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a CVT, producing 168 horsepower and 275 Nm of torque. This is 54 percent more powerful than the current naturally aspirated 1.5-liter engine, while torque has increased by about 30 percent compared to the segment average. MG also boasts fuel economy on the 2026 Vibe SUV thanks to its variable geometry turbocharger, lightweight design, and low-friction engineering.
Inside, the 2026 MG ZS Vibe shows a clear step forward in design and quality of finish. The cabin uses soft-touch materials in many places, combined with matte metal details and custom interior lighting, giving it a more premium feel. The center of the dashboard is a 12.3-inch floating central touchscreen, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Behind the steering wheel, a 7-inch digital dashboard displays multiple information... In addition, the car is also equipped with a dual-zone automatic air conditioning system, a USB-C charging port for the rear seats and a 360-degree panoramic camera. The car is still equipped with the comprehensive MG Pilot safety package, including a series of modern driver assistance technologies such as: Automatic emergency braking (AEB). Lane departure warning and lane keeping assist (LKA & LDP). Adaptive cruise control (ACC). Speed sign recognition (TSR). Blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert (BSM & RCTA).
There are also upgraded MG ZS Hybrid+ Excite and Essence variants, which have received a software update to increase power and performance above 4,000 rpm, delivering smoother acceleration and a more comfortable ride. Video : See details of the new generation MG ZS SUV model.
