(Dan Tri) - To get free tickets to museums in Ho Chi Minh City on May 19, people need to bring ID cards with permanent residence registration in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the press conference on the socio -economic situation in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of May 15, the Department of Culture and Sports provided information on activities to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), the 114th anniversary of Uncle Ho's departure to find a way to save the country (June 5, 1911 - June 5, 2025) and the International Museum Day on May 18 (2025).

Museums in the area will offer free admission on May 19 for visitors who are permanent residents of Ho Chi Minh City. To visit the museum for free, people only need to bring an ID card with permanent residence registration in Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition to the above activities, museums carry out communication and propaganda work for International Museum Day on May 18 on mass media. Units also clarify the content, meaning of the message, and the theme of International Museum Day 2025 is "The future of museums in rapidly changing communities".

From May 14 to June 5, Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch organized a special exhibition "The South forever remembers His gratitude". From May 18 to June 18, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum will exhibit "The journey in Uncle Ho's footsteps through stamp and postcard collections". The exhibition includes 47 stamps and postcards divided into two parts: Portraits of President Ho Chi Minh through the ages; The journey in Uncle Ho's footsteps.

From May 19 to September 15, the Ton Duc Thang Museum will exhibit the theme "Ba Son - Timeline". The exhibition will outline the formation and development of the Ba Son Corporation; the development of the shipbuilding industry and the Ba Son workers' movement in the national liberation movement and the role of President Ton Duc Thang (at that time the President of the Secret Union).

From May 19 to June 8, the City Museum of Fine Arts will exhibit "Telling stories after reunification and exchanging with artists and sculptors of the Liberation Art Gallery". The exhibition will feature 105 works including paintings, sculptures, and sketches from the museum's collection and from artists and sculptors of the Liberation Art Tradition Club.

In addition, the War Remnants Museum will organize a seminar on the topic "Synthesis of some standards in museum exhibitions". The History Museum will organize a thematic exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh - life and revolutionary career".
