The Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Festival is supported by the Singapore Food Authority (SFA), the first cooperation initiative between the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore and SFVIEA in the field of trade in Vietnamese agricultural and food products. This festival has the participation of more than 130 guests, including 15 embassies and consulates of countries in Singapore registered to attend; Singapore Business Management Agency; Industry associations, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Federations of Singapore; supermarket systems, importers and exporters, hotel systems and international organizations in Singapore.

On the Vietnamese side, 11 vegetable and fruit enterprises participated in the direct display of goods with Vietnamese agricultural specialties, such as: durian, Hoa Loc mango, Chu mango, lychee, longan, dragon fruit, banana, coconut, rambutan, mangosteen, watermelon, jackfruit, papaya, sweet potato, pineapple, tomato, lemon, various chili peppers, guava, grapefruit, various mushrooms, taro and various vegetables, spices, ... and some Vietnamese enterprises participated in trade connections.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Tran Phuoc Anh said that Vietnam is proud to be a country with a developed agricultural production in the region, and every year Vietnam exports a large amount of various vegetables and fruits. According to statistics from the Customs Department, in 2024, Vietnam exported a total of 7.12 billion USD worth of vegetables and fruits, and experts predict that in 2025, Vietnam could export more than 8 billion USD. Vietnamese vegetables and fruits are of good quality, delicious taste and high value, and are favored by consumers around the world. The initiative to connect trade The 2025 Vietnam Vegetable and Fruit Festival in Singapore marks an important milestone in the first cooperation between the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore and the Singapore Fruit and Vegetable Importers and Exporters Association, which is supported and highly appreciated by the Singapore Food Authority (SFA) and the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore. This is a very meaningful promotional activity, deepening the economic, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore, further concretizing the economic cooperation content in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Singapore. This trade connection model can be considered for replication for other product groups of Vietnam in the coming time.
Speaking at the festival, Mr. Leong Der Yao, Deputy Director General of the Singapore Food Authority (SFA), said that this event continued to emphasize the commitments in strengthening the agri-food trade cooperation between the two countries. The festival has built connections, created new mutually beneficial trade cooperation opportunities, as well as strengthened existing relationships and reflected Singapore's commitments in this industry.
Mr. Jerry Tan Soon Huat, Vice President of SFVIEA, assessed that the supply of Vietnamese vegetables and fruits is a very important and growing market with great potential. Vietnam's abundant supply of agricultural products with increasing productivity and quality is a great opportunity for cooperation in the vegetable and fruit sector. Mr. Cao Xuan Thang, Trade Counselor, Head of the Trade Office in Singapore, said that the 2025 Vietnam Vegetable and Fruit Festival in Singapore is an idea for trade promotion activities, connecting trade in the vegetable and fruit industry that has been cherished for many years. This is an initiative to integrate trade promotion activities with promoting culinary culture, through culinary culture to bring Vietnamese goods to the local market. This is useful information for Vietnamese enterprises when participating in supplying fruit and vegetable food products to the Singapore market.
This year’s festival featured the participation of two leading Singaporean culinary experts. These chefs presented dishes made from Vietnamese vegetables and fruits.
Chef Daniel Koh demonstrated the preparation of the famous vegetable tempura dish, accompanied by a delicate fruit sauce made from Vietnamese vegetables and fruits. He said that Vietnam has an abundant supply of tropical fruits, such as dragon fruit, grapefruit, mango, durian, longan, rambutan, etc. These fruits can be used fresh or processed into delicious dishes such as jam, juice or dried. Vietnamese vegetables and herbs have become popular, Vietnamese dishes always include vegetables and herbs. Not only are these products nutritious, they are also very good for health. “For me, Vietnamese vegetables and fruits are my best choice,” said Chef Daniel.
Chef Maya Yi brought to the festival a harmonious combination of traditional desserts with Vietnamese vegetables and fruits such as: Jasmine tea and passion fruit; mixed chilled fruit dessert soup; fruit tacos,... visitors were very impressed with the combined flavors of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables.

At this Festival, the Vietnam Trade Office coordinated with local Vietnamese businesses to participate and promote Vietnamese traditional food products such as spring rolls, spring rolls, bread, fried rice with vegetables, stir-fried vegetables, stir-fried noodles with vegetables, and desserts and drinks made from Vietnamese vegetables and fruits. Thereby, promoting products for preparing these dishes. The initiative to approach the market through culinary cultural diplomacy activities has played a good role in promoting products and brands, contributing to the successful implementation of the project "Mobilizing overseas Vietnamese to participate in, introduce, consume products and develop distribution channels for Vietnamese goods abroad".
In addition to the dishes served directly at the Festival, the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore introduced many Vietnamese food products associated with the above dishes, such as dried vermicelli, rice paper, fish sauce, wood ear mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, spices for making spring rolls, spices for making dipping sauces, etc.
The festival attracted many important partners in Singapore. The guests attending the festival were all excited and enjoyed the rustic dishes imbued with Vietnamese national identity.
