Recently, at Tan Dat Agricultural Production and Service Cooperative (Trung Ngai commune, Vinh Long province), Southern Fertilizer Joint Stock Company collaborated to organize a workshop summarizing rice cultivation models aimed at reducing costs, minimizing emissions, and improving efficiency towards sustainable production.
The program was attended by representatives from the Vinh Long Provincial Cooperative Union, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, the Crop Production and Plant Protection Station of Region 2, as well as local leaders and a large number of farmers.

Representing Southern Fertilizer Joint Stock Company were Mr. Doan Tan Sang - Deputy General Director; Mr. Vo Tong Anh - Senior Advisor; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Khai - Head of the Mekong Delta Market Business Region; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phu Son from the School of Economics , Can Tho University.
At the workshop, delegates and farmers visited a demonstration model of rice cultivation applying new technical processes. The model focuses on optimizing fertilizer use and reducing pesticide use, thereby contributing to lower input costs and limiting greenhouse gas emissions.

According to Mr. Doan Van Tai, Director of Tan Dat Cooperative, the model is being implemented to transform production methods towards sustainability, reduce agricultural inputs, and contribute to achieving the goal of developing high-quality rice raw material areas in line with the orientation of "1 million hectares of low-emission rice".
A representative from Southern Fertilizer Joint Stock Company stated that applying the new farming process significantly reduces the cost of fertilizers, pesticides, and labor compared to traditional methods, while maintaining productivity and economic efficiency.

Experts also assessed the model as highly effective, not only helping to reduce production costs but also contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, in line with the direction of sustainable agricultural development.
The workshop recorded many valuable insights from experts and farmers, which will serve as a basis for refining and expanding the model in the future.
At the end of the program, Southern Fertilizer Joint Stock Company presented gifts to the farmers, demonstrating its commitment to supporting them in their transition to green agriculture.
