Meta representative said that Llama - the open source artificial intelligence (AI) model set of this Group has just officially reached 1 billion downloads.
Since its launch in 2023, Llama has been used by businesses, startups, nonprofits, content creators, scientists, government agencies, and many others to unlock the disruptive potential of AI. From leading technology companies to universities, millions of individuals and organizations around the world are using Llama to innovate, accelerate scientific progress, and unlock new economic opportunities.
To celebrate this milestone, Meta shared some of Llama’s real-world applications, including Spotify, startup Fynopsis, and developer Srimoyee Mukhopadhyay. These real-world applications demonstrate the power of open-source AI.
Meta's LLama is opening up new opportunities for the AI and IT industries in Vietnam. By the end of 2024, users in Vietnam will be able to access and experience Meta AI for free. The interactive support tool is in Vietnamese, integrated within Meta's services such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger.
Meta AI works as a chatbot using the LLaMA large language model. Users can chat with the chatbot on a variety of topics, such as asking for recommendations for places to visit, generating images using text prompts. The AI also allows users to find out details about a post they see on Facebook or Instagram.
Meta AI can also help users answer questions and provide information on many fields, assist in writing texts, emails or messages, plan events and trips. In addition, this AI can also make suggestions on cuisine , travel, shopping, support learning, research and translation between many different languages.
Previously, at the Vietnam Innovation Day in Hanoi in October 2024, Mr. Nick Clegg - President of Global External Affairs Meta, said: "We are proud to be the only major technology company in Silicon Valley to provide free AI tools to Vietnamese users."
