According to the Vietnamese Embassy in France, during the working sessions with the leaders of the Normandy Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Caen Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the two sides reviewed recent high-level visits between Vietnam and France within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. At the same time, the sides also discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in many potential areas.

The delegation learned about the strengths of the Normandy region in general and the city of Caen in particular, typically the bustling seaport system (Rouen and Le Havre), the motor vehicle industry, and especially the agricultural sector with many famous culinary products.
Normandie boasts 15 protected geographical indications and the "Saveurs de Normandie" brand, for its typical dairy products. Normandie also highlights France's strength in the nuclear industry, with the presence of three nuclear power plants using advanced EPR technology in the region.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited the port of Caen-Ouistreham, a hub for cargo transit and passenger ferry transport to the UK.
The Mayor of Fleury-sur-Orne provided information on the activities of the North-South Cultural Economic Development Association. This association is working to promote cooperation between Vietnam and Normandy in areas such as nutrition and training high-performance athletes in a number of sports where Normandy has strengths in training and facilities.
