The Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association has just submitted a petition to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism... to investigate and handle VS Service and Trading Company Limited (headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City) for signs of fraud and appropriation of assets of tourism businesses in Nha Trang.
According to HHDL Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa , in July 2024, VS Service and Trading Company Limited committed fraud, taking advantage of trust to "swindle" service fees from 2 hotels in Nha Trang. Specifically, Ms. NLPU - Director of VS Service and Trading Company Limited and Mr. LTT, an employee of this company, contacted December Hotel to book accommodation services for a group of 91 guests (47 rooms) from July 11 to July 13. During the working process, Mr. LTT represented the company to make transactions and transferred a deposit of 10 million VND to the hotel. On July 13, when the group of guests from VS Service and Trading Company Limited was about to leave, December Hotel staff asked Mr. T to pay the remaining amount of 76.7 million VND. After that, Mr. T sent a screenshot of the payment transfer via Zalo, so the hotel agreed to let this group of guests leave. After not receiving the money, December Hotel staff contacted Mr. T many times to request payment of 76.7 million VND, however, Mr. T had an uncooperative attitude, denied sending fake transaction images, continued to delay payment, and blocked communication.

In addition, VS Service and Trading Company Limited also booked 51 rooms for guests staying at The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel from July 19 to July 21 and a gala dinner. On July 21, when the company's group was about to leave, The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel requested VS Service and Trading Company Limited to pay the remaining amount of 78,580,000 VND. After that, Ms. NLPU sent a photo of the payment order with the amount of 78,580,000 VND via Zalo to the staff of The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel. Believing that the partner had transferred the money, The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel let the group of guests leave. However, when the hotel's accounting department later checked, they discovered that they had not received the above amount. After that, The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel contacted Ms. NLPU many times to request the payment of the above amount; however, Ms. U still refused to transfer the money.
Regarding this incident, Mr. Pham Minh Nhut - Permanent Vice President of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association said that the tricks and actions of VS Service and Trading Company Limited were systematic, occurring many times with many different businesses and individuals; they had committed fraudulent acts, taking advantage of trust to appropriate large sums of money from businesses. To protect the legitimate rights and interests of members, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association hopes that the authorities will investigate, handle and take preventive measures against these subjects, not to cause other incidents, affecting the tourism environment and social order.
After HHDL Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa sent a document to the authorities, the authorities intervened, and by the afternoon of July 31, 2024, VS Service and Trading Company Limited had transferred the full amount to The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel. December Hotel has not yet been paid by this company.
