On November 24, in Portugal, the final gala of the World Travel Awards (WTA) 2024 awarded titles to two tourism facilities in Hoi An. Hoiana Complex won the category of World's Best Integrated Resort. Hoi An Memory Island was honored in the category of World's Leading Tourism , Culture and Entertainment Complex.

Previously, the award ceremony for the Asia and Oceania region took place on the evening of September 3 in Manila, Philippines. Vietnam won the awards for Asia's Leading Destination, Asia's Leading Heritage Destination, Asia's Leading Nature Destination in 2024.
