A corner of Dung Tan eco -tourism area in the center of Song Cong city, Thai Nguyen province
Song Cong is not simply a river. The river itself carries within it a legendary love story, which posterity still remembers forever, as a testament to the steadfast love and loyalty of a couple from ancient times – Coc and Cong. Perhaps, that is why the land and people of Song Cong want to borrow that idea to talk about their integrity to those who have come, are coming and will come. Who knows, from that story, it is also the formation of a city named after the river – Song Cong city?
Before going to Song Cong, many people whispered: Traveling in Thai Nguyen , the most suitable time is from March to October. Well, we also came to the city named after the river from mid-March. A cool, peaceful feeling like any region in the North.
But in Thai Nguyen, in Song Cong city, it seems to be more different. Amidst the noise of the metallurgical land, amidst the hustle and bustle of a heavy industry… there are still peaceful moments, from green tourist areas. The highlight of Song Cong city starts from things like that.
Anyone who has been to Ghenh Che Lake in Binh Son Commune, will feel throughout the journey a magnificent picture of wildness. Also in Binh Son Commune, Ba Van Horse Farm with its vast grasslands has the scent of a distant steppe…
Koi fish pond and rockery with Japanese style, are the center of attention of Dung Tan Eco-tourism Area.
Like any other eco-tourism area I have encountered: with lakes, koi ponds, green trees, ornamental plants, birds, flowers, rockery area… Dung Tan eco-tourism area in the center of Song Cong city, combines both wildness and vitality; and the sophistication and ingenuity of talented hands and minds.
The first impression when coming to Dung Tan Eco-tourism Area is hundreds of ornamental plants of all kinds. From perennial trees with rough, ascetic appearance such as pine, banyan… reminiscent of the image of enlightened monks…; to rustic, smooth trees like the mountain girls of the midlands such as tea, bougainvillea, Indian laurel… All are cared for and pruned in many different shapes, bringing diversity, strangeness and never boring to the eyes.
Dung Tan Eco-tourism Area owns hundreds of ornamental plants of all kinds. From perennial trees with rough and ascetic appearance such as pine, banyan… reminiscent of the image of enlightened monks.
Coming here, it feels like you are lost in paradise with many attractive and captivating areas. First of all, the center of Dung Tan Eco-tourism Area is definitely the Koi fish pond and Japanese-style rockery. The skillful combination of rocks, bonsai and water... has created a unique and unmistakable feature. That is, the Vietnam Ornamental Plants Museum; International Garden Area; Four Seasons Entertainment Area; Event Organization and Culinary Culture Center; Commercial Service Center...
The hobby is really elaborate. But the viewers also know how to choose the place, choose the place. People of all ages, all social classes… we met that day at Dung Tan Eco-tourism Area. Maybe it was a beautiful day off? But there must be another reason. This comes from subjective feelings, but it is subjective with reason.
The scenery is like that, the people are not inferior. We were lucky to have Ms. Kim Oanh - wife of the owner of Dung Tan Eco-tourism Area - Le Van Dung, take us around. She is meticulous, enthusiastic and very patient to explain and clarify the sudden questions of tourists.
An eco-tourism area that was established less than 20 years ago, a woman who manages more than 100 workers regularly serving the tourist area, welcoming tens of thousands of people every day at peak times... the erosion of health from work is inevitable, the erosion of tourists' tastes if there is constant innovation and creativity is inevitable. However, in that woman over 55 years old, in that eco-tourism area... there is still a strong vitality.
Ms. Kim Oanh (milky white jacket) excitedly introduces the "strange flowers and rare plants" at Dung Tan eco-tourism area.
Talking with the owner of Dung Tan Ecotourism Area, Le Van Dung, we can see that “the profession of serving customers” is not simple. Mr. Dung said: My job is a service job. Only professionalism, gentleness, friendliness… are the things that remain forever in the hearts of tourists. So that they come here, not just once.
At Dung Tan Eco-tourism Area, we have encountered that. The professionalism comes from the arrangement, decoration... of the items, from the product display area, restaurant, flower garden, bonsai, playground... The professionalism comes from the manner and attitude of welcoming and being friendly to any tourist who comes here.
The professionalism also comes from the “all-inclusive package” for every group of guests coming to Dung Tan Eco-tourism Area, from entertainment, sightseeing, enjoyment, to eating, resting… with very reasonable prices. That is why Dung Tan Eco-tourism Area has days when it welcomes tens of thousands of guests to relax, experience and have fun.
Many rare Kor fish species have been selected by the owner of Dung Tan Eco-tourism Area to be released in the lake, always attracting visitors to experience.
As for the government, it is showing a new direction of development in a new era. Ecotourism is currently a path in the journey to promote the potential, strengths, and opportunities of the land along the Cong River. From supporting businesses with land funds, to promoting and promoting investment, tourism, etc., the departments are interested and focused on.
The strength of Song Cong in particular, and Thai Nguyen in general, besides heavy industry, is the smokeless economy - tourism. At some point, the smokeless economy will still be the main color in the economic picture of the "steel land".
Writing up to here, many people will also be able to explain why the annual revenue of the tourism industry in Thai Nguyen in general, and Song Cong in particular, is constantly increasing. A prime location near the capital, with many famous places, convenient transportation… is one thing; but the decisive factor, constituting success or failure, comes from the manner, attitude and determination to do tourism from the businesses themselves and local authorities.
That is also the result that needs no explanation for the increasingly flourishing potential tourist areas in the area.
Invitation from Thai Nguyen...
