Mount's time at MU is running out.

According to former chief scout Mick Brown, Manchester United are willing to part ways with Mason Mount this summer if they receive a suitable offer.

Mick Brown, who spent over a decade at Man United during Sir Alex Ferguson's golden era, revealed that Amorim didn't think Mount was up to the standards needed to be a long-term mainstay of the team. "They worked hard to get him back to his best. But Amorim seemed to decide he wasn't good enough," Brown told Football Insider .

With the arrival of Matheus Cunha and the possibility of Man United signing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, Mount is increasingly being pushed out of the team's future plans. Brown stated: "Man United believe they can improve the position Mount currently occupies and are willing to let him go if a suitable offer comes in."

Mount, who joined Manchester United from Chelsea for around £55 million in the summer of 2023, has failed to live up to expectations at Old Trafford. In the 2024/25 season, the 26-year-old midfielder only made a total of 26 appearances in all competitions, starting only 11 of them. Repeated injuries and inconsistent form have prevented him from securing a regular place in the starting lineup.

The player born in 1999 was once expected to be a quality addition to Manchester United's midfield. However, issues with fitness, adaptation, and tactics have made him redundant. Unless there is a significant improvement in the near future, a parting of ways between Mount and the club is almost inevitable.

Not only Mount, but other big names like Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Jadon Sancho also face the risk of leaving Old Trafford as MU plans a large-scale clearout to revamp the squad.
