According to Neowin , the MSI CLAW will be a formidable competitor to existing handheld gaming devices on the market such as the Steam Deck, Asus ROG Ally, and Levovo Legion Go. Unlike its competitors using AMD CPUs, MSI's product comes with Intel's new Core Ultra "Meteor Lake" CPU, combined with an Intel Arc GPU. Specifically, the device will have a CPU "up to Intel Core Ultra 7 155H" inside.

MSI states that Intel's revolutionary XeSS technology has transformed the gaming experience for enthusiasts worldwide , and this will be applied to CLAW. Thanks to advanced AI upscaling algorithms, XeSS significantly increases FPS for incredibly smooth and immersive gameplay, allowing gamers to easily enjoy AAA titles on mobile handheld devices.
The MSI CLAW will also feature 16GB of RAM paired with 512GB or 1TB of M.2 2230 PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe SSD storage. Users are also provided with a microSD card slot for expanding storage space.
In terms of design, MSI states that the CLAW features meticulously polished details, from the palm-hugging curve to the finger placement and trigger force, making the CLAW comfortable and precise. It's designed to conform to the natural contours of the hand, providing an intuitive gaming experience for all hand sizes.

This gaming console also features a 53Whr battery that promises up to 2 hours of full gaming time. The device will use Windows 11 as its operating system, but the company says it will provide MSI APP Player to allow CLAW to play both Windows and Android games.
According to VideoCardZ, the MSI CLAW will be available in the first half of 2024 with a price of $699 for the 512GB SSD configuration and $799 for the 1TB SSD configuration.
