Chairman of the People's Committee of Bach Long Vi Special Zone Dao Minh Dong informed that by noon on July 22, the wind on Bach Long Vi Island had decreased to level 6 with light rain.

Previously, Bach Long Vi island recorded the highest wind level of up to level 10, gusting to level 12 with heavy rain on the night of July 21 when storm number 3 passed through the sea near the island.
With the preparedness of the government and people following the "4 on-the-spot" motto, the storm did not cause significant damage. Only a few trees on the roads were uprooted and a small area of people's crops were destroyed by the storm.
On the morning of July 22, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Bach Long Vi Special Zone inspected and promptly handled broken and fallen trees.
Before the storm entered the Gulf of Tonkin, the Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Bach Long Vi Special Zone completed moving all 76 vehicles with 84 workers ashore and anchored safely in the port.
Along with that, the Command Board for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of the special zone organized forces to evacuate 8 households with a total of 17 people in the area near the harbor shore to the special zone's multi-purpose gymnasium for shelter.
