According to information from the Ha Tinh Hydrometeorological Station, from today (July 21) to July 23, due to the influence of the southwest circulation of storm No. 3, Ha Tinh area will have heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain. Rainfall in the South is generally 50 - 100mm, in the North 100 - 200mm, some places over 250mm. Heavy rain is forecasted to cause water levels in lakes to rise.

As of 7:00 a.m. on July 21, the water level of Ngan Truoi Lake (Vu Quang Commune) - the largest reservoir in Ha Tinh - was at an elevation of +35.301/+52m, equivalent to a capacity of 240.069/775.7 million m3 .
Mr. Le Van Hung - Head of the Management Group of Ngan Truoi Reservoir (Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 3) said: "The water level in the reservoir is quite low and can still hold more than 500 million m3 , so the rainfall this time will supplement the amount of water to serve agricultural irrigation, people's daily life and supply to the hydropower plant".

Meanwhile, the water level of Ke Go Lake - the second largest reservoir in Ha Tinh is at +27.34/+32.5m, equivalent to a capacity of 210/345 million m3 . This water level is not a cause for concern because the reservoir's capacity is still quite large and the lake is serving summer-autumn production.
The water level of Song Rac reservoir is at +21.94/+23.2m, equivalent to a capacity of 105.99/124.5 million m3 . Other medium and small reservoirs have reached 50% - 85% of their capacity, and some are opening for irrigation to serve summer-autumn production.
According to the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Ha Tinh province, the water level of large reservoirs is currently at an average level. However, to prevent possible unusually heavy rainfall, the province has directed localities and reservoir management units to proactively deploy measures to ensure the safety of works and downstream areas.
The Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 3 and Nam Ha Tinh Irrigation One Member Co., Ltd. will monitor and closely follow weather developments, rainfall in the area, and the amount of water flowing directly into the lake, thereby providing operating plans that are close to the actual situation.
