Want to give up Information Technology to retake Economics

VnExpressVnExpress01/10/2023

I am a freshman majoring in Information Technology but plan to put it on hold to retake the entrance exam to the National Economics University.

Because I was too busy playing, my high school graduation exam results were not good, only 24 points, so I could not be admitted to top schools. Currently, I have enrolled in the Information Technology major at a school in Hanoi . But I plan to take a gap year and retake the exam next year. In my opinion, a diploma from a top school is very important. I am willing to trade a year to get it.

I plan to take the Hanoi National University’s aptitude test to get early admission points to the National Economics University (NEU) because I really like the environment here. However, NEU is an Economics school. I think it would be better to study Economics here instead of Information Technology.

I have researched and found that Logistics seems suitable. But the benchmark for this major is too high. I am thinking about other majors but I don’t know if the majors in Economics are similar and if it will be difficult to find a job after graduating? I hope everyone can advise me.
