The Chiềng Lề village performing arts group is practicing.

Muong Gion was established by merging two communes, Muong Gion and Pa Ma Pha Khinh, both of which have been recognized as achieving new rural standards. The commune currently has 23 villages and a population of over 16,000 people, comprising four ethnic groups: Thai, Kinh, Mong, and Khang, with the Thai ethnic group accounting for over 84%. The people of these ethnic groups still preserve their traditional cultural values, from stilt houses to clothing, language, writing, and folk festivals.

Implementing the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life" movement, the commune has intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage people to unite and help each other develop the economy , eradicate hunger and reduce poverty; practice a cultured lifestyle, and abide by the law. Along with this, attention has been paid to investing in and implementing programs and projects, mobilizing resources to build, repair, and purchase equipment for cultural centers and sports facilities in the villages. To date, all villages have cultural centers and sports fields, meeting the needs of the people for meetings, cultural activities, and sports. By 2025, the percentage of culturally exemplary families is expected to reach 89.44%, with 2,732 households achieving the title of culturally exemplary family for three consecutive years.

Mr. Tran Nam Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said: "The commune encourages the establishment of cultural, artistic, and sports clubs. To date, 100% of the villages have established art troupes, and there are 26 sports clubs that regularly practice. In addition, we regularly organize exchange activities between villages, thereby strengthening solidarity and improving the spiritual life of the people."

Members of the Bo Xanh village's performing arts team pass on their ethnic culture to the younger generation.

Through the activities of these clubs, a love and pride for traditional culture are spread to the community, especially the younger generation, arousing the responsibility of everyone to preserve and protect the culture. Mr. Luong Van Nhau, a member of the erhu (two-stringed fiddle) ensemble of Bo Xanh village's performing arts group, shared: "We regularly practice and perform at the village's cultural center. Through this, we pass on the art of playing the erhu and our passion for ethnic culture to the younger generation. Seeing the children enthusiastically learning to sing, learn to play the instrument, and actively participate in performances at the commune's events, I am very happy."

To deepen the "National Unity for Building a Culturally Rich Life" movement, the mass organizations in Muong Gion commune have flexibly integrated and concretized it into many practical emulation movements, such as: the "Building a Family with 5 No's and 3 Cleanliness Standards" campaign of the Women's Union; the "Youth Joining Hands to Build New Rural Areas" movement of the Youth Union; and the "Exemplary Veteran" and "Excellent Farmer in Production and Business" models. This synchronized participation, tailored to the specific characteristics of each village, has maximized the role of members and created a strong ripple effect, contributing practically to building a civilized lifestyle in the community.

The "Saturday at the Grassroots" movement for building new rural areas in Muong Gion has been maintained and effectively promoted, becoming a regular activity where officials and people work together to clean up the environment, build roads, plant flowers and trees, contributing to creating a green, clean, and beautiful rural landscape. Mr. Tong Van Doi, Head of Chieng Le village, said: Through the implementation of the movement, people have raised their awareness of environmental protection, renovated their houses, and voluntarily contributed to building common projects in the village.

The Bo Xanh village cultural center is a regular gathering place for the villagers.

Through practical approaches, the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life" movement in Muong Gion has been spreading widely, contributing to the increasingly rich and vibrant spiritual life of the people. This serves as a driving force for the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Muong Gion to unite in building an increasingly prosperous and beautiful homeland.
