Steamed stuffed bitter melon

Ingredient

- Bitter melon

- Lean shoulder meat

- Scallions, onions, coriander

- Wood ear, shiitake mushrooms

- Cooking oil, fish sauce, salt, pepper

Preliminary processing

- Choose green, straight bitter melon, cut into 3 cm pieces, scoop out all the seeds inside. Soak in diluted salt water for 5 - 10 minutes to reduce bitterness.

- Wood ear and shiitake mushrooms, soak in warm water, cut off stems, wash, drain and chop finely.

- Peel the onion, wash and chop finely.

- Scallions and coriander, remove roots and wilted leaves, wash, and cut into small pieces.

- Wash and drain the lean shoulder meat, mince it, add salt, pepper, fish sauce, shiitake mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, and chopped onions, stir well, and marinate for 15 - 20 minutes.

A bowl of bitter melon soup stuffed with meat helps cool the body after Tet.

Processing

Step 1: Take the meat mixture and stuff it into the bitter melon pieces.

Step 2: Place the steamer on the stove and bring water to a boil. Add the stuffed bitter melon and steam for about 10 minutes, add onions and coriander for about 3 seconds.

The bitter taste of bitter melon combined with the fragrant, fatty taste of meat blends together attractively.
