Russia and Myanmar signed a contract in September 2022 for the supply of six Su-30SME fighters, RIA said.
According to Rosoboronexport, Russia's state-controlled arms export company, the Sukhoi Su-30SME multirole fighter is designed to attack enemy air targets, conduct aerial reconnaissance, carry out combat missions and train pilots.
Mr. Than told Russia's state news agency TASS that a number of bilateral agreements will be signed at the Eastern Economic Forum, including on developing tourism between the two countries.
