"Leaving Mom" - a Vietnamese-Korean co-production following the popular domestic psychological and family genre, starring actor Jung Il-woo - will be released this summer.
According to initial information, actor Jung Il-woo will have a supporting but no less important role in the film.
He is a famous Korean face in Vietnam through films such as "Family is Number 1" and "Moon Embracing the Sun"... The actor born in 1987 is also affectionately nicknamed "Vietnamese son-in-law" by fans because he once traveled across Vietnam in mid-2024 and shared his excitement about the people and culture of the host country, "causing a fever" in the fan community.
Sharing about "Mang me di bo," Jung Il-woo said that Vietnam and Korea do not have many collaborative projects like this, so he hopes the film will mark a new beginning. "Vietnamese audiences, please look forward to the film. We will bring a quality film that you will not regret watching" - the actor said.

Co-starring in the film with Jung Il-woo are popular faces in Vietnam such as Tuan Tran ( Mai ), Juliet Bao Ngoc ( Glorious Ashes ) and most notably Hong Dao. According to initial information from the distributor, she plays the role of an elderly and frail mother who is about to be considered a burden by her children.
Hong Dao is a talented face of Vietnamese cinema, continuously participating in many notable and high-grossing projects recently such as "Chi Dau," "Mai" (2024) along with the global hit Netflix film "Beef" (2023).

The director of "Take Me Away" is Mo Hong-jin - who attracted attention with the psychological film "Prisoner's Last Wish 2037" in 2022.
The Korean director said he had a soft spot for Vietnam when he first came to promote his film 3 years ago. This was also the time when Mr. Mo started to develop the idea for "Mang Me Di Bo." He shared that the work was inspired by his own thoughts on the culture, people and lifestyle in the S-shaped country.
Co-produced by Vietnam's Anh Teu Studio, Sate Entertainment and Motive Pictures. "Mang Me Di Bo" is scheduled to premiere on August 1./.
