Tan Phuoc 2 Commune: Smooth and stable operations after merger

SERVING PEOPLE SMOOTHLY AND EFFECTIVELY

Immediately after its official establishment, the People's Council of Tan Phuoc 2 commune, term I, held its first meeting, perfected its organizational structure, and appointed key positions of the People's Council and People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. The People's Committee of the commune promptly deployed directive documents, completed the arrangement of specialized agencies, and arranged cadres, civil servants, public employees, and non-professional forces in accordance with the new organizational structure.

The Commune Public Administration Service Center has been operating stably since July 1. The Commune People's Committee has arranged human resources, equipment and infrastructure in accordance with regulations to effectively and smoothly implement the administrative procedure settlement needs of the people, including on Saturdays, according to the direction of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee.

Through that, the Center has received and processed 135 administrative procedure files of the people. However, the Center still faces certain difficulties because the software has not been configured for direct payment. The civil status information system of the Ministry of Justice is sometimes interrupted and inaccessible and the data is not fully connected, so the procedure for extracting copies of civil status has not been carried out...

According to comrade Phan Thanh Du, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Tan Phuoc 2 Commune, the commune has organized propaganda in many forms so that people know the address of the headquarters and the procedures that can be performed at the Commune's Public Administration Service Center. Propaganda work is carried out through loudspeakers, radio stations, and meetings of groups and neighborhoods in the area. Along with that, the commune has also established a guidance team with the main force being union members, youth and specialized civil servants to support people in performing procedures at the Public Administration Service Center.

Along with that, the Commune Public Service Center came into operation from July 1, ensuring smooth operation after the merger. In particular, garbage collection in the area was urgently deployed to ensure no garbage congestion.

ECONOMIC - SOCIAL STABILITY

As a purely agricultural commune, Tan Phuoc 2 still maintains and develops key production models. In the 2025 summer-autumn crop, the commune sowed 3,136 hectares of rice, along with 197 hectares of food coloring, 2,620 hectares of pineapple and 551 hectares of fruit trees. Notably, the commune currently has 18 pumping and bailing tanks serving the pineapple growing area alone. Regarding livestock, the total herd of cattle and poultry remains stable with nearly 3,000 pigs, more than 400 cows and more than 65,000 poultry.

Along with that, 100% of households in the commune have access to electricity and clean water - one of the important criteria to assess the level of completion of basic infrastructure. The total commune budget revenue has now reached nearly 69% of the annual plan, in which Thanh Tan (old) has the highest revenue (7.59 billion VND).

Six key infrastructure projects are being implemented in all three areas, from bridges, rural roads to upgrading canals to serve production. Each project clearly demonstrates the mark of unified and effective management from the commune level after the merger.

In the field of culture and society , Tan Phuoc 2 commune has done a good job of maintaining schools during the summer, ensuring conditions for the new school year 2025-2026. In particular, the rate of people participating in health insurance in the whole commune reached 97.28% - a remarkable figure. The commune's poverty rate accounts for only 1.12% of the total of more than 2,300 households. This is a solid premise for building a commune that meets advanced new rural standards in the coming time.
