On the morning of September 27, speaking with VietNamNet reporter , Mr. Vo Huu Tran, Principal of Trung Hieu Secondary School (Vung Liem District, Vinh Long ), confirmed the case of an 8th grade male student of the school being beaten by a group of friends. Mr. Tran said he had reported the incident to the authorities; at the same time, asked the police to investigate and handle the case.

Previously, a clip was circulated on social media recording a scene of a male student being brutally beaten by a group of friends using helmets, brooms, chairs, etc. The male student was even kicked on the head many times by his friends. The beaten male student just sat curled up on a chair against the wall of the classroom, holding his head to endure the beating while the other students cheered and encouraged him.

According to Mr. Tran, the incident happened on the afternoon of September 23 in grade 8 of Trung Hieu Secondary School. There were 8 students involved in this incident.

The beaten male student suffered soft tissue injuries and had to be hospitalized for treatment. He has now been discharged and returned home.

The school has visited and encouraged this male student. At the same time, the school is also coordinating with the authorities to handle the students involved.
