Over the past 5 years, the Provincial Women's Union at all levels has actively implemented the Project on training cadres and civil servants of the Women's Union at all levels and women's branch leaders for the period 2019-2025 (Project 1893); contributing to building a team of grassroots Union cadres who are increasingly confident, steadfast in their profession, enthusiastic about the Union's work, and closely following the local women's movement.
Accordingly, from 2020 to present, the province has organized 31 training courses, updating knowledge for more than 2,300 Union officials at all levels. The content of the courses not only focuses on the Union's professional work, but also extends to practical issues such as communication skills, information technology application, handling situations at the grassroots level or social work with disadvantaged women. Each class is an opportunity for Union officials to look back at themselves, supplement their knowledge, practice their skills and improve their work capacity.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy - Head of the Women's Association of Nam Trai Hamlet, Truong Dong Commune, Hoa Thanh Town shared: "Previously, I used to follow my own experience. Since attending the training course, I know how to organize more lively association activities, know how to take notes, summarize reports clearly and especially I am more confident when interacting with members."
The Provincial Women's Union has also proactively diversified its training methods. In addition to traditional classes, the Union has also coordinated to organize many online courses, combining E-learning to help students be flexible in terms of time, especially for grassroots cadres. In the past two years, more than 100 commune-level Union cadres have completed the basic training program and received official certificates from the Vietnam Women's Academy.
“Not only providing knowledge, the classes are also a place for Union officials to meet, exchange experiences, and resolve practical difficulties. We invite capable, dedicated, and practical speakers to inspire, thereby helping women learn happily and apply it immediately to their work” – Vice President of the Provincial Women’s Union Kim Thi Minh said.
The Provincial Women's Union also effectively mobilized local resources to organize many specialized training courses such as: digital communication skills, legal knowledge, environmental protection, OCOP product development; effectively organized competitions for excellent, confident, and brave Union officials... Thereby helping Union officials have the opportunity to demonstrate their bravery, improve their professional qualifications and practical skills, contributing to doing a good job and improving the quality of local women's movements. Up to now, 90% of Union officials from the province to the grassroots have met the prescribed title standards.
Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Kim Thi Minh added: "We consider staff training a fundamental task with long-term significance. A good Union staff member not only does a good job in the movement but is also an important bridge between the government and women, contributing to promoting gender equality and social development."
In the coming time, the Provincial Women's Union will continue to maintain regular training courses, combining specialized training and soft skills; enhance the application of digital transformation, develop a team of experienced part-time lecturers, make the most of social resources... These will be key solutions to build a team of professional Women's Union officials, capable of leading the movement at the grassroots level.
