Enhancing digital transformation capacity for Front Committee officials in Central Vietnam.

DNO - On the morning of December 18th, in Da Nang, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized a training conference on digital transformation in building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction for more than 100 Fatherland Front officials from provinces and cities in the Central region.

Attending the conference were Cao Xuan Thao, Head of the Social Work Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; and Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City.

In his opening remarks at the conference, Mr. Cao Xuan Thao emphasized that, in the context of the recently concluded Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, the goal set for the Front's work in the coming period is to participate in resolving major issues of the country and localities.

The Front's activities must be substantive, yield measurable results, have clear deadlines and outcomes, and allow for the evaluation of inputs and outputs; the Front's staff must be close to the people and the grassroots, and connected to the digital space.

Based on that, this training conference has chosen digital transformation as its central focus, aiming to contribute to improving the effectiveness of the National Target Program for New Rural Development and the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction at the grassroots level.

During the two-day conference (December 18th and 19th), speakers presented five key topics, including: orientation towards the goals of building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction for the period 2026-2035, linked to the requirements of digital transformation; an overview of the situation of building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction in Da Nang city; identifying and preventing forms of fraud on social media; applying digital transformation in building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction; and applying digital transformation in the process of responding to storm and flood situations.

In addition to thematic discussions, the conference included group discussions aimed at contributing to the innovation of thinking and working methods, and enhancing the application of digital technology in the work of the Fatherland Front.

Delegates visited a model of new rural development and sustainable poverty reduction applying digital transformation in Hamlet 4, Thanh Binh Commune, Da Nang City.
