The Vietnam Association of Women Entrepreneurs (VAWE), with the coordination and support of Vidogroup, on May 13 held a meeting with the Cherie Blair Foundation – a leading international organization in supporting women globally to start and grow their businesses. The event is an important milestone in the effort to strengthen international cooperation and promote the sustainable development of the Vietnamese women entrepreneur community.
Attending the program, on the Vietnamese side, there were Ms. Le Thi Bich Tran - Wife of the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, representatives of the Office of the President, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Women's Union; leaders of VAWE and more than 50 delegates who are outstanding female entrepreneurs from 18 provinces and cities in the Northern region.
The Cherie Blair Foundation was attended by Ms. Cherie Blair - Founder of the Foundation; Ms. Dhivya O'Connor - Executive Director, and senior members of the organization.
At the meeting, the two sides introduced their strategic vision, core values and key activities being implemented to support women and female entrepreneurs around the world. The meeting was an opportunity to affirm the role of both organizations in accompanying, enhancing capacity and promoting the leadership role of Vietnamese women in the economic and entrepreneurial fields.
Within the framework of the program, a number of female entrepreneurs shared their typical projects and their entrepreneurial journeys – not only contributing to creating livelihoods for their families and communities, but also demonstrating the spirit of innovation and social responsibility, making practical contributions to sustainable development.
The event opens up a valuable opportunity for female entrepreneurs – especially the younger generation of entrepreneurs – to interact and exchange directly with international experts and experienced female leaders at home and abroad. Thereby, contributing to improving capacity, updating modern management thinking and accessing advanced business models.
This meeting laid the foundation for building extensive and highly applicable cooperation programs to accompany women in starting businesses and enhance the international integration capacity of the Vietnamese female entrepreneur community.
