Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Huu Hanh, Deputy Director, Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Science and Technology and Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, Assistant Director, Department of Foreign Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs were the speakers.
The People's Foreign Affairs Information Conference has been organized periodically by the Central Foreign Affairs Commission since 2017. Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken over the functions and tasks of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission and continues to implement this mechanism to provide updated information on the world and regional situation, the Party and State's policies related to foreign affairs in general and People's Foreign Affairs in particular.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Deputy Minister Ngo Le Van informed about the world and regional situation with many rapid and complicated developments with many new volatile factors appearing, directly affecting the security and development environment of countries.

According to the Deputy Minister, the domestic situation is also posing many new issues, many new requirements and higher tasks for the entire political system, including unions and people's organizations. Ministries, branches and localities across the country are currently actively implementing the "Quad Pillars" - four important Resolutions of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation (Resolution 57), international integration (Resolution 59), innovation in law-making and enforcement (Resolution 56) and development of the private economic sector (Resolution 68).
In particular, directly related to foreign affairs, Resolution 59 will contribute to raising the level of international integration with many breakthrough viewpoints, identifying international integration as an important driving force to bring the country into a new era. Along with national defense and security, promoting foreign affairs and international integration has now been identified as an important, regular task, requiring proactive, positive, drastic and creative participation of the entire political system, of each citizen, each enterprise, each industry and each field. Resolution 57 also emphasizes that enterprises and people are the center, subject, resource and main driving force in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation and requires raising awareness and making breakthroughs in innovative thinking.
Deputy Minister Ngo Le Van said that in the new context, especially with new requirements and tasks, in order to promote the position and role as a pillar of Vietnam's comprehensive and modern diplomacy, the forces working in People's Foreign Affairs need to have new thinking and ways of working, with specific, flexible, creative and pioneering measures, contributing to opening up new opportunities and development spaces for the country.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs asked the delegates to think and discuss some main contents. Firstly , renewing thinking, fully understanding the position and role of People's Foreign Affairs in the new situation and the requirements and tasks set for mass organizations and people's organizations in international integration, science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. On that basis, organizations need to concretize the important and core contents of Resolution 57 and Resolution 59 into regular programs and plans of activities in their organizational systems.
Second, continue to promote the motto of "proactive, flexible, creative, effective" of People's Diplomacy, actively innovate working methods, implement many initiatives and diverse activities to expand foreign relations, promote development cooperation and international integration in specific fields, especially economics, trade, science and technology, digital transformation, etc.

In addition to continuing to foster the sentiments, foundation of friendship, solidarity, and goodwill between the Vietnamese people and other countries, it is necessary to focus on strengthening connections and expanding relations with potential partners in developed countries, with many strengths in economics, science and technology, especially new technologies; it is necessary to grasp new development trends in the world and mobilize financial and technical resources from outside, especially knowledge and development experience of partners to improve professional capacity and international integration capacity in all fields.
Third , strengthen the network of connections, share information and experiences, and coordinate activities between unions and people's organizations to effectively mobilize resources, create common strength, and make more positive contributions from the People's Foreign Affairs channel to the implementation of the country's socio-economic development tasks.

Deputy Minister Ngo Le Van affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is always ready to support, accompany and create favorable conditions for mass organizations and people's organizations to carry out foreign affairs tasks to serve the country's development. At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to listen to the opinions and suggestions of mass organizations and people's organizations and will continue to coordinate with agencies to support the improvement of the capacity of mass organizations to carry out foreign affairs and international integration.
At the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang informed about the world and regional situation, the foreign affairs of the Party and State in the first 6 months of 2025, the international integration policy in the new situation and some suggestions for people's foreign affairs in the coming time.

Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Huu Hanh informed about the policy of breakthrough in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, bringing the country into a new era of development and suggestions for people-to-people diplomacy in the coming time.
After listening to the speakers, the delegates exchanged and shared information, diverse perspectives, and realities of their organizations as well as specific measures to improve the effectiveness of People's Foreign Affairs, contributing more practically to the common tasks of the country.
