According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on April 22 and 23, the Northern region will experience localized heat with the highest temperature in some places exceeding 35 degrees Celsius. The area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will experience heat, some places will experience severe heat with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 36-38 degrees Celsius, some places exceeding 38 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity is commonly 45-50%, the heat will last from 11am to 5pm.
The Central Highlands and the South have hot weather with the highest temperature commonly 35-36 degrees Celsius, some places over 36 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity commonly 50-55%, hot weather lasting from 12 to 16 hours.
Warning: Heat wave in the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen is likely to last until April 24; from around April 25, it is likely to ease. Heat wave in the Central Highlands and the South is likely to last for many days to come. Natural disaster risk level due to heat wave is level 1.
The forecast temperature in the heat bulletin and the actual felt temperature outside can differ by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, or even higher depending on the conditions of the surface such as concrete and asphalt.
Due to the impact of heat, in some places the heat is intense combined with low humidity and the southwest wind causing the foehn effect, there is a risk of explosions and fires in residential areas due to increased demand for electricity and the risk of forest fires. Heat can cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke to the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time. In addition, heat also directly affects production and people's lives.
To protect the health of yourself and your family during hot days, health experts recommend that people limit going out between 11am and 2pm every day. If you have to go out, wear long-sleeved and long-legged clothes and wear a hat to cover your head and face to protect your skin as much as possible.
People need to supplement enough and moderate water every day and every hour (it is best to choose types of water such as: filtered water, fruit juice, pure green vegetable juice...) to prevent heat and compensate for lost water...
