Automate every process
Mr. Nguyen Thien Ly - founder and CEO of HUB Technology Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City) - said that HUB provides solutions for businesses and cooperatives in the agricultural and food supply chain.
This is a project to sell agricultural products online with clear traceability for farmers, established by a group of students from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Science (Ho Chi Minh City National University), of which Ly is one of the members, in June 2020.
The young director comes from a farming family in one of the particularly difficult communes in Gia Lai province, which is often isolated during storms.
“Here, the majority of Jrai people cultivate rice and cassava, and after harvesting, sell them directly to small traders as agricultural products with only one outlet, without any connection to the outside world, making it easy for prices to be squeezed.
"If farmers have a channel to connect agricultural products to the outside or sell them online, it will be better," said Mr. Ly about the reason for building a platform to help connect and exchange agricultural products for farmers.
The project was built and developed into a startup company afterwards. After 3 years, HUB is being positioned as the best management platform, helping businesses and agricultural cooperatives.
Technology solutions help trace the origin, manage production and sales, operate warehouses, build brands, digital cooperatives, digital agricultural communes, train collaborators, etc. The platform automates processes from forecasting output, purchasing, ordering, and operating orders to save time, optimize cost and risk management, and improve productivity.
Currently, HUB focuses on bringing new technology, suitable for agricultural and food enterprises and cooperatives. These units guide farmers on how to access, helping them easily use the tool to report goods and forecast production to the system, and enterprises will directly sell to consumers.
“Enterprises are the implementing units, the customers that HUB targets. Farmers are the ones that businesses buy and pay for. Consumers can use quality agricultural products and food with clear origins,” Ly said.

Aiming for the benefit of farmers
HUB is a powerful application platform for digital transformation in the agricultural and food supply chain. This start-up optimizes the stages from production, operation to sales, helping customers access the market better.
Some of the awards HUB has achieved:
– Champion of 2 competitions SDGs Innovation Incubator 2023 and Young Startup 2023
– Top 10 Techfest Vietnam 2023
– Top 50 Start-up Wheel 2023
With a team of staff knowledgeable in both technology and agriculture, HUB aims to solve supply chain problems for businesses and cooperatives.
Sustainable development, bringing benefits to farmers, creating value for society are the goals of this enterprise. However, to be able to position the brand in the market, the company also went through many difficulties and challenges like many other start-ups.
Ms. Vu Ha Trang - co-founder and marketing director - said that HUB's team is quite young so they don't have much experience.
The process of turning an idea into a product on the market and convincing customers to agree to use the product is a stage that faces many difficulties in terms of operations, cooperation, finance, and human resources.
“Currently, HUB has almost completed the product ecosystem and is quite confident in convincing customers. Up to now, there are customers with large agricultural and food supply chains who trust and use HUB's platform.
We are looking for an advisor who can advise us more on finance and business operations,” said Ms. Trang.
HUB currently has 56 customers, which are enterprises and cooperatives. Many of them are well-known companies in the agricultural and food sectors, along with about 1,000 agents in the system.
“Accompanying and developing with businesses truly creates social value, sustainable development, and helps farmers have a better life. That is also our greatest pride at this time,” said Ms. Trang.

Expanding the market and sales, focusing on building a nationwide dealer system, and bringing technology solutions to each locality is the next direction. Specifically, HUB selects typical businesses in some provinces and cities to bring technology to, and works with them to reach farmers.
“Farmers increase their income and know how to transform digitally. That is also our orientation in 2025 after completing the product packaging,” Mr. Ly informed.
Developing digital cooperatives
In 2023, HUB will deploy the DCO.OP digital cooperative model, providing comprehensive management tools, connecting financial resources and supporting output for local farmers and cooperatives. The project has been piloted in 5 provinces in the Central Highlands.
In 2024, the company worked with farmers in Lang Son, Nam Dinh, and Ho Chi Minh City on the DCO.OP project.
“We hope this model will be available in 63 provinces and cities nationwide. At that time, information about agricultural products and food in each locality will be integrated into the system, helping farmers easily access digital transformation in each locality,” said Ms. Trang.
