The digital platform "DOLAB-JICA Job Search Platform" for Vietnamese people who want to work in Japan was developed within the framework of a technical cooperation project between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Department of Overseas Labor Management (DOLAB) - Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam, called "Project to Support Job Information Connection for Vietnamese Workers Working Abroad Under Contract" and will be implemented from August 2023 to July 2028.
Accordingly, through the platform's mobile application and website, Vietnamese people who want to work abroad can search for recruitment information by industry, work location, basic salary... and directly contact businesses posting recruitment information without going through an intermediary.
In addition, information on labor policies in Japan and other related regime information will also be updated on the platform. For businesses, using the platform to post recruitment information will help businesses reach a large number of job seekers across Vietnam.
According to Mr. Vu Truong Giang, Deputy Director of the Department of Overseas Labor Management, the launch of the DOLAB-JICA application is a concrete step in realizing the provisions of the Law on Vietnamese Workers Working Abroad under Contract.
The application not only helps workers access official recruitment information, minimizing costs and risks due to intermediaries, but also supports them throughout the process of working abroad as well as when returning home.
This platform makes an important contribution to state management, promoting transparency, efficiency and humanity in sending workers to work abroad under contracts.
This is considered an important step in digital transformation in the field of international labor cooperation, especially with the Japanese market - where there is a great demand for high-quality human resources from Vietnam.
According to the Department of Overseas Labor Management (Ministry of Home Affairs), in the first 6 months of 2025, nearly 74,700 Vietnamese workers went to work abroad under contracts. This result is equivalent to 57.4% of the 2025 plan (target of 130,000 workers), creating a positive foundation to expect to complete, even exceed the target in the second half of the year.
Japan continues to be the largest labor market for Vietnam, with over 35,200 workers in the first 6 months of the year. Taiwan (China) ranks second with over 28,200 workers, while South Korea ranks third with 5,650 workers. These are traditional, stable markets with high recruitment demand, good income and guaranteed working conditions, thus always attracting a large number of Vietnamese workers.
In addition to the traditional markets mentioned above, some other markets also recorded remarkable reception results such as: China, Singapore, Hungary, Romania...
