Vy does not consider writing as a passion but a habit. During her childhood, like many of her peers, teachers trained her to write with a fountain pen and compete in "Clean and Beautiful Notebooks". Neat lines and bold and light strokes were formed early. In grade 9, Vy won second prize in the "Good Writing and Writing" contest in the Mekong Delta region. A little older, realizing that writing is a part of personal identity, Vy consciously adjusted her own writing style, with distinctive accents.
Vy likes to write handwritten letters to those she cherishes because she believes the recipient will understand the writer's intentions.
Vy's right index finger has a large callus from holding a fountain pen for a long time. The callus makes her hand a little "uglier" but Vy is still happy because it reminds her of the days of practicing calligraphy and writing. Handwritten lines usually take more time than typing, so to Vy they have a very special meaning.
Graduated from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU-HCM, Vy currently works at Thu Duc Book Street (HCMC). She and her team organize many attractive events to foster a love of books, building an ideal knowledge meeting place for people. Vy has handwritten hundreds of cards with gifts for students participating in the program "Celebrating Birthdays with Books".
Hoang Vy and her colleagues worked hard to create interesting games, integrating experiential activities so that young people could absorb event content related to reading culture in the most enjoyable and relaxing way possible.
Vy knows how to make a good impression on people thanks to her optimism and desire to contribute to society. She diligently pursues volunteer projects, spending the summer months teaching H'Mong students in Dak Nong and accompanying them until they graduate from high school. Social work takes Vy to different lands, interacting with the cultures of many ethnic groups. Through the process of teaching children in the highlands, Vy helps them understand more about literature and the colorful world, contributing to spreading the culture of reading.
For Vy, practicing handwriting every day is a way for her to practice patience and relaxation, because writing cannot be rushed but must be meticulous and polished. This also helps Vy control her emotions better and nurture her motivation to live a useful life.
